230 Ohio reef tank

Nice looking Setup!!
- Thanks!

Tank is looking sweet.
Thanks Wayne, will try and meet up this weekend when I am in Tampa. Would like to see your set up.

Looks great;-)
Thanks.

please tel me were you got the wall panels and the shelfs im doing that! GREAT IDEA!
- There are various companies that make different versions of these. You can get them at Home Depot and Lowes in the storage section. However, the ones that I used were from Sears beacuse they sell them in bigger packages.

The tank is recovering nicely since the disaster. The corals are coming back strong and unfortunately I think the stress from the incident caused me to loose 2 more fish when I was down in Tampa. (The Powder Brown and the chocholate tang). :( However I have noticed a significant improvement in my SPS colors, less shadowing and growth since I added the additional T5's to my lighting set up. Now I am running 2 G3 pro's, 1 BMLED Atinic, 1 Reef Brite Atinic and 2 T5's (ATI Super Atinic and Fiji Pink)

Tank is looking good. Sorry for the losses. Great seeing you when you were down. Did you pick up any goodies before you left?

Was good seeing you as well. You have a really nice set up and love the airplane concept. Its one of a kind.

I looked around and unfortunately didnt see any corals that really jumped out at me. However, I did see some beautiful fish at the place you sent me and I wish I had picked a few when I was there. I just didnt feel like dealing with TSA at the time.

Well at least you had some fun.

Saw this in person the other week. Pictures do not do this aquarium justice! It's quite an amazing setup and I love the sump.

Thanks for having us over

What a beautiful tank you got yourself there:)
I really like the aquascape and the vivid colors.
Also your choice of fish is quite something! The powder blue is looking healthy and seems to eat decent amounts of food :)
Did you have any problems with that fish?

Greetings
Mathias

Thanks Wayne, always value your thoughts.

Joel, thanks for the comment, was happy that you guys came over. Will have to try to get together more often.

Mathias, thank you for the comments. I was a little hesitant myself about adding a powder blue due to the fact I've always had issues with them in the past (ich or eating) However this one in particular seems very healthy and has been eating very well. I have been trying to keep him fat with a good variety of frozen food and seaweed.

Still working on the photography with the iPhone. Would love to have some macro shots. Anyone in Dayton Ohio have good photo skills and a better camera? Here's a shot a took today from the iPhone.

Been a few weeks and figured I would post an update. Pump went out on the Skimmer and had to replace it. Wasnt to freaked out because I went almost a week and half or so last time with out the skimmer and didnt really see much of a difference. I lost my Powder Blue for some strange reason. Dont think I will attempt that fish again. One day he decided not to eat anymore and then found him stuck to the MP60. It broke my heart.

I want to add some more fish but havent really seen anything at the moment at the LFS that jumps out at me. Was out of town for a little over a week week and seen a significant increase in my SPS polyp extention and growth. Figured I would post some July photos.
