2300G Cylinder - Preview

I have been checking to see if this was updated with progress! I think some of those following along are just as excited as you must be! Do you have any plans to screen the overflow?

simply awesome. I have been watching this build for along time. I do feel this might be one of my faviorate tanks. I have been thinking of a 1000 gallon build for along time and my wife likes the round tanks like this. Cannot wait to see it live

Thanks for the update Diablo. Awsome! been following this build from the begining. Finally got to see some water in the tank. Congradulation!

How? The magnification will not (I mean, how could it?) magnify the lighting output, just the view from around the tank.

The distortion caused by shape of the tank will not affect the light output in anyway other than the fact that the shape makes it a little more difficult to make a lighting plan that works with a rock structure.

One of the hard parts of round tanks, bowfronts and tanks of that nature is the viewing. You will get distortion and odd angles BUT that is part of the pleasure too. I have a corner bowfront and enjoy sitting up close and looking.....

Taking pictures is also difficult. I have to move corals to the front glass if I want a very good closeup....otherwise the distortion makes it difficult to get everything in focus...even with a good camera.

Not to mention the fish are going to look REALLY big! :fish2:

Humble thanks for all the replies... I did not realise there were so many folk following along. I will answer questions on the weeekend when I have a little more time... 1000 lbs of live rock coming on Thursday!:bounce2:

Finally some water in the tank, what a great achievement, congratulations.

It should all start coming together quickly now, I can't wait to watch the rest unfold...

Great to see you finally have water in it! It looks great. Can't wait to see the addition of the live rock!!
