ok... quick link to test the photos... still learning here... first things first... i need a tank... i ended up with a GC 240 with 2 2" overflows on the sides... made the stand out of 2 2x8 laminated beams on steel legs... solid as a rock... luckily its a slab concrete floor... bla bla... lets see if the photo works...

yes... it is in wall... it was difficult... the wall i wanted to place the tank behind... is a load bearing wall... so before i could even get to this point... i had to jack the second story off the studs and place a 12" laminated beam in the top section of the wall... which is why the opening from the front seem so narrow... but... hey... its about 13 inch clearance... and that ability to access the tank is awesome...

man... this is fun... its cool that you guys are actually reading this thread... its taken me 6 years to build this thing... getting one piece at a time... i stated with the 240 as a FOWLR tank... and started collecting the pieces one at a time. stacking them in my garage with the goal of one day building a SPS reef ... im extremely excited to finally be able to build it... thats why the tank looks old... because it is :)

there is soooo much more to come... stick around... i'll be posting regularly

and i look forward to meeting and talking to you all...

More Pictures, You need to Fast Foward to Back to the Future so everybody can see the amazing progress you have made. Take my word for it this is the most particular to detail person i know and it will show in this build you are about to see.
Just a shot of the fish room alone and you will get an idea of the amount of time and effort has gone into this so far!
But knowing how it turned out is actually worth the wait.

Glad to see you on the boards, Mel! I've not met you just yet, but I've heard lots from Bill and Zach about your build. :)

I agree with Bill... put some more pictures up! :)

:) yea... i'm going to post some more tonight... i spent most of last night just trying to figure out how to post... i may be a little bias.. but the build is pretty sweet... i shouldnt take all the credit though... Bill and i worked closely on this thing...on top of reading RC and picking up ideas here and there.... we kinda took each others ideas and tuned them in... you see what im talking about... ;) stay tuned.
