240G - Powered by Ecotech

Hello all,

It´s good to comeback to RC with another project, this time something bigger.
The idea is pretty much the same with my past 300L/80G tank; achieve a nice variety of corals ( softies, LPS, SPS) and fish and see how things will grow with Led technology.

Setup:

Tank: 200cm*70cm*65cm ( Length*Wide*High)
Lighting: 4 x Ecotech Radion XR30W
Skimmer: Bubble King Double Cone 250
Circulation: 2 x Ecotech Vortech MP40W ES
kH, Ca, Mg: Balling Method

Some updated pictures of the layout:

Next step: fill the tank with saltwater!

Thanks for veiwing,

André

You are off to a very nice start. Very impressive already. Makes me want to redo my rock work.

What did you use to cement the rockwork together?

Hello,

Thank you all for the nice comments.

lotusstar, it´s a 79" x 27.5" x 25.5" tank.

Ricardo, will do.

Rotknee, I have used Ocean Wonders epoxy and T-Rex glue. This glue "glues" anything to anything with a 24h waiting for maximum strength. Done the job well done.

Bravo! Awesome job. Something very tranquil about the look with no water in it too, from a picture it looks perfect the way it is. Imagine leaving it like that, no water changes, no worrying about growing conditions :D

You dead set on your circulation plan though? 2 MP40s don't sound like they'll be enough for a tank that large.

Scape looks fantastic. I really like the open look and will be phenominal once coral grows in. Is the rock Pukani? Who's the manufacturer of the tank?

My dear friend,

Stunning aquascaping!!!

As usual, your rockwork is very impressive. Nice to see that you're goint to use Led Radion, I will be very curious on that. I will visit you next time I'll be in Lisbon.

Cheers,
Ricardo

Well done André!! Very nice aqua scape!!! Can you please provide more pictures of the rock layout (side views and maybe a top view).

Will be following along!
