240g Shark / Reef Build

the tile sits directly on solid concrete :), should I get some metal plates and some rubber for the tank to sit on ? I am worried it will crack the tile

I mean where does the NSW originally came from?

Scripps pier in California, same water the Birch aquarium uses on their tanks

shark ate today too :)

Finally, I know you where getting a bit worried!

What about the pics of you drilling the holes??????

Looks like a quality stand. But are you worried at all that it might punch holes in your floor, with only 6 contact points for a 240 gallon setup? Assuming they each share an even load, that'll be something like 400 to 500 pounds per post won't it?

It's kinda hard to see the feet, but I'd suggest maybe some 1/4" steel plates, maybe 6" x 6" to support the weight more evenly

I'd do this, or maybe just 1/8" on the steel, but puting 1/4" plywood or sawdust board underneath the steel would be sure to distribute the weight well.

I'm lazy and don't want to reread the thread ;). Are you going to be putting a wood skin on the stand for cosmetics? If so you could put a piece of 1 X under the legs to distribute the weight out better. The picture you posted is worrisome, that's a lot of weight on the tile, I think you could have issues with it.

Another thing you could do if you wanted is cut a 4x4 or 6x6 piece of plate, either 1/4 or 1/2, have the edges beveled and powder coated to match the stand. Either one you choose would be great improvement (wood or steel). You know the bolts will not indent the plate though. Just my thoughts.
