Any chance you would post some more pictures of "your" 180? I would definitely like to know more about it such as equipment, bulbs, photoperiod, husbandry practices, etc. If you would post some pictures of the sump and equipment (even with a camera phone) I know many people would be very glad.
How did you design the canopy? Does it raise and lower on actuators or does it just hang high like in the picture?
Finally, can you tell us about the livestock in that tank? Specifically the types and species of the coral?
I am sure many here would like to have a tank that looks like that, so any of your advice about husbandry would be greatly appreciated. Keep up with this build thread. After reading though you plywood threads and now this one I want to see how things turn out.
Ill take some more pics for oyu guys when i get a chance when i normally update my post im at work on my phone LOL. Yes the canopy is made to sit high like that there are two 250 watt metal halides under it and four t5s i didnt a mix of 2 18000k and 2 10000k on the t5 and two 14,000k halides. sump is a 29 gallion sump that i used from one of my old fish tanks. skimmer is a super skimmer and corals there are too many to emntion i just bought different kinds mixture of hammer coral brain coral and etc. i like softies i have a few hards but not much. Like i said tanks been going for three years and the powerheads were given to me with my old tank. I have had that setup for 3 years but onto my new baby LOL my 250 is getting all my time and energy now. Im actually thinking about selling the 180 my wife is tired of all these fish tanks and the electric bill is getting high
