280g New Build

A very innovative solution to hanging your lights, well done. Will you be leaving it as is or powder coating?

hi everyone sorry for the delay, with the reefcentral forum update (which I still can't get to work with talktap mobile app) and life in general I've slacked on providing updates here. Here are some more photos of the build, everything is up/running and I *think* all the kinks have been worked out.

All prepped for a nice clean migration

Some pictures of the sump area. The dream box comes with a "cockpit" mounting for red dragon pumps which is kinda cool

I'm leaving it as it. It is marine grade stainless steel so not sure powder coating gets me that much and I like the look of the stainless especially with the Stratons silver bevel.

It’s been a year so time for some updates. Like everyone I’ve had my fair share of obstacles, but finally starting to stabilize. The tank is eating alk at a pretty rapid rate. I’m dosing 120ml/min on the calcium reactor and supplementing with 100ml / day of esv alk and calcium supplement trying to maintain a level of 8 dkh and 400 calcium has been a struggle. Had a battle with stn, some sort of parasite, I used a power head 2x week for a month and think I’ve beat whatever it was, but the bases of some corals took a beating. Will update again in a yr with hopefully more growth :)

Hiya, nice build, I’ve got similar dimensions. I went 66x31x29. Is your tank eurobraced or rimless ? Can’t quite tell in the pics. Lovely bit of piping up though. Very nice.

Also do you have a stocking list - fish / / coral / clean up crew. I missed a few pics first time round so was a real treat to see them on the 2nd go. Have you thought about Kalkwasser for some stability. How many lbs or kg of live / dry rock did you add mate ?
