Zeovit reactor with Zeovit â€"œ in Sump:

Based on advise in Zeovit Forum, I will need 3L of Zeovit to start off first and change off 50% after the initial 4 weeks. My reactor is feed via a Eheim 1250 pump with water flow estimated around 1200l/h with a 3 hours running interval… as I have not hook up my Profilux controller yet, I temporary used a mechanical timer for this purposes.

I also place 1L of active carbon in my sump area… this makes it easier for me to knead the carbon daily during Phase One…

Then follow by a initial 35 drops of ZeoBac daily for the initial week, which will then reduce to a dosage of 12 drops 2 â€"œ 3 x weekly.

PM mods, tell them too many zeo's has been added :D

   yeah....right !!

Honestly I think it's because they are doing this 'upgrade' on their server and each time I post, there seem to be a delay and sometimes my whole post vanish !!

the post is always there, just refresh using F5 then it will reappear. sometimes it take a few mintutes, patience is the key :D

Too early for that!! Will start adding cleaning crew in this weekend and start checking water end next week and see how's doing...

not crabs, huh. dont on cycle but every system is different.

Not unless they are 'black teddy bear crabs '

Will start off with just some turbo to see how they do....maybe 100??

not the black teddy :D. ohh i think you should stay away from turbos, these guys bulldoze over everything in its path also they foul the water when dead. nass, cerith and fighting conchs are the best IMO. thats what i use and keep the sand bed clear without having me siphon the sand every month. 4 times weekly all the lights including moonlights are turn off completely, thats when they all come out to clean the sand bed. nass and conch take care of sand while the cerith prowl the walls.

Man...with the upcoming Olympics, the China Gov most probably will want a visa for each of the nass, cerith and fighting conchs u bring over :p
