that photo was taken in San Francisco, right?

Does it even matter?? :D I'm not even looking at the background... :p Anyhow, good to have some 'mermaid' picture in my otherwise boring build thread

OK...to bring the thread back on-track, some updates for you guys... :D

Next is my ZEOvit reactor…I rinse the ZEOvit stones the night before with RO water and I think it’s good to go…. :spin1:

Here is some pictures of my 3L of Zeovit in my reactor…..they rated the reactor for 4L but IMHO, I think 3L is about max as filling in another L will make the Zeovit completely compress and not much water flow through… !!

Very nice reactor Ed. I have the same reactor except mine is older model.

Do you really think you have 300g of water in your system? I would run 2.5 ltr instead JMO. My new setup is 480g + 150g sump but i only run 4ltr.

Thanks Steve...

My water in both tank and sump equals to 1494L (close to 395g) and even minus 20% for rocks/ sands still leave me a whooping 1195L (315.6g). Yes, I have a huge sump.... :)

Based on advise in Zeovit Forum, I will need 3L of Zeovit to start off first and change off 50% after the initial 4 weeks. My reactor is feed via a Eheim 1250 pump with water flow estimated around 1200l/h with a 3 hours running interval… as I have not hook up my Profilux controller yet, I temporary used a mechanical timer for this purposes.

I also place 1L of active carbon in my sump area… this makes it easier for me to knead the carbon daily during Phase One…

Then follow by a initial 35 drops of ZeoBac daily for the initial week, which will then reduce to a dosage of 12 drops 2 â€"œ 3 x weekly.

Good thing with my I-Aquatic Zeovit reactor is it comes with a feeding station so I just dose it in there. Only problem is I have to dose in the ‘feeding station’ while the pump is off and shut off the valve after that or you will get a little fountain.

Reactor feeding station:

This is follow by a daily dosage of 50 ml ZeoStart2 for 2 days, followed by a twice daily dosage of 1 ml (morning / evening)

Mmmm hope I can remember all that!! :hmm4:

Now all I need to do is sit back and WAIT….!!

The ONE thing I hate about this hobby is the waiting….

Btw, does anybody out there have some sort of method/ reminder chart to remember all those?? :crazy1:

Thanks GSMguy. That means the next upgrade, u don't have to buy anymore pumps again if u're planning to go Zeo... :D
