LPS â€"œ Blasto and Acans: Love em’ all…will be looking to add more varieties in as they are great space fillers and bring out the color of the tank….this Blasto started off with 6 heads and have since develop a lot more heads to-date!! The small piece is a frag from the main colony!

Blastomussa Wellsi:

I also place a local wave maker pump at the bottom of my MPT to clear off those debris at the bottom. Don’t want a NO3 build-up!! :D

Must HAVE updates................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Hey do you have any fear transferring corals from a heavy stocked, heavy bioload tank to a low nutrient low bioload tank?

are the nutrient levels the same in both tanks, watch out for pale dry looking corals you may need to dose some extra AAHC and Zeofood7 if they look dry.

what is your current Zeovit dosing schedule? for both the basic4 and other KZ additives.

How do you feel the Solaris is doing in the color dept?

Hi Fuzznutz - i think that's his strength as you have so much flexibility in colors...my corals and fishes really 'pop' up in colors under Solaris :D

Hi Nick - Honestly I'm concern but nothing much I can do but observed and see how it goes. I've neglecting my current tank quite a few weeks now as all my attention is on the new tank and it's suffering... :( I only matches the Salinity, Temperature, Ca, Mg and dKH and then start the moved. :mixed:

Will keep a close eye on the corals and see if add dosage are needed.

More updates later tonight... now have to move more corals :D

the first thing i read when i wake up everyday is this thread, what time is it there right now Ed?

Just spent a while reading this whole thread. Interesting and entertaining. I always enjoy seeing the tanks and set-ups of hobbyists from other countries. A question though, if you don't mind. Is flexible PVC available in China?

Thanks just dave....glad you enjoy my build thread. Yes, we do have flexi PVC here in China but they only sell the whole roll unfortunately... cames in black and white too.. :)

UPDATES…..

UPDATES…..

Did a 10% WC and water parameter testing again today to see the difference now that there are corals in the tank……

➢ Temperature â€"œ 27.5 degree C
➢ Salinity â€"œ 1.026
➢ Ph â€"œ 8.06 (with lights off)
➢ NO3 â€"œ 2 (actually the color is even lighter than the lowest pink)
➢ Ca â€"œ 390
➢ Mg â€"œ 1380
➢ dKH â€"œ 8.6
➢ PO4 â€"œ 0.14 (Still high - reading from D-D High Sensitivity Phosphate Test Kit)
➢ Potassium â€"œ 380

Since the ‘test’ corals seem to be doing fine and parameter is quite stable, I move more corals in last night and today :D

Don’t ask me for names of those SPS as I admit I’m totally lost when it comes to those Latin names….best I could do is to differentiate if they are an Acro or Monti…. BUT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU CAN LET ME KNOW (as you can see I number them for easy identification) should you come across any corals you can identify so that I can update my Coral profile accordingly â€"œ thanks in advance

Acro Family:

Bali Green Slimmer (I think)

The slimmer is a really fast grower…. I need to break off part of his arms off as it was already encrusting to the side of my weir in my current tank.

Color a little dull but hopefully will color-up with Zeo… :p I like it because of the shape he is growing and it fits my overhang rock there perfectly!!

Pocillopora or Stylophora Family (not sure which but I think it’s Pocillopora??)

Purple Pocillopora

Green Pocillopora

Slightly bleach out as it was partially hidden from my lights in my current tank. Good thing is this type of corals is tough and should color up in a couple of weeks

Bird-nest Family:

Short Branching type Pink Bird-nest
Birdnest01.jpg

Thin Branching type Bird-nest

â€"œ a little brown out so can’t really tell the color yet but I suspect it to be red or pink? Let’s see after a few weeks….

And how it all falls in place….

LeftSide01.jpg

SideView02.jpg

Need to keep low growing corals on the left side rock island as I don’t want the corals to block the flow coming from my 2 steams and wavebox

Stay tune for more updates……!!
