Are the Green and Orange Yumas a kind of mushroom? The Green one looks a lot like my Green Fuzzy Mushrooms.

These are Ricordea Yuma Mushrooms, I think they are all in the same family. The yuma Ric's have some very intense color as these do.

Bugs, love the starfish. I have recently added several and really like watching them. I believe I have 5, or 6 of them now. Great pictures especially the TRON shrimp.

I got one of them star fish as well.
I see him all over the tank, but never actually see him move.

He also loves hanging out with my zoo garden, but seems they have gotten used to it and don't retract as much, and not as long.

Things are looking great Bugs! I might have to snag some of that Dragon's breath macro from you sometime! :)

Thanks zibba!
I will bring you some Dragons Breath at the next FRAG meeting, just remind me the night before.

More pics, having a lot of fun with the camera, can't wait to get a good macro lens!
I will post up a video this weekend, this camera has auto tracking focus for video which is kind of cool, but it seems a bit slow - or I'm just moving to fast.

Some fun pics bugs!

Is that second pic one of the vortex the shrimp got stuck in from the last group of pictures? Just kidding... That looks like a lot of surface water movement going on.

The second pic caught the shrimp re-materializing haha
I do like good surface agitation, it helps greatly with gas exchange. Though it is a bit more noisy and I get more spray and evaporation, but IMO it is worth the benefits.

I'm finding that video produced looks one way, then when uploaded to YouTube, it looks another way...:headwallblue:
Anyway, this video is a little dark, but was perfect on my PC.
I'm a learning!

Love that anemone tower! These guys just grow and grow.

Luckily they don't go out wondering around much anymore and all have found their happy place. I keep expecting the big one on top to split, but he never has, just gets bigger and bigger.

I don't wish my split. they are both currently nearly 14-16 inches fully open.

I don't want the hassle of removing them and trying to sell them.

True, i guess i've been lucky that when they split the mother always stays put and the clone is usually easy to pluck out. I just wish they would stay 6-8" but i have to be grateful for a healthy animal.

Thanks zibba!

Portable Water Mixing/Change Cart
1 - 20g Brute can - mixing tank
2 - 10g NSF Blue barrels - waste water containers
1- Iwaki WMD20 - mixing/transfer pump

I always have 20 plus gallons of RTU salt water with a circulation pump going and the submersible pumps do not last long. I thought an external would work better and have more longevity.
The MaxCap runs to the top Brute tank with a float valve and drains from the bottom to the Iwaki, then water is pumped back in at the top side. All holes in tanks have threaded/threaded 3/4" bulkheads. There is a ball valve drain to divert the flow to my tank connections to fill with fresh SW.

The two bottom tanks will hold 20g of waste water drained from the tank during the water change. It is plumbed on the bottom with a garden hose hookup to drain it into the yard when finished.

Right now, it is a two step process; First - drain old water from the the DT, Second - fill with fresh SW. My plan is to have this process done simultaneously - draining and filling, but have some flow rate issues to work out first. BUT, I may just use two large dosing pumps to achieve this, but it would take longer. We will see.

The purpose of this is to make water changes MUCH easier and cleaner and have less equipment in the fish/bedroom... I want a 10 minute water change and with making it easier and drier... the more likely I will keep up with my WC's!

Now, that's a slick design. Where did you get the cart? I may have to steal that idea for my own use!
