30" deep tank, can I go with 14K?

I am wondering whether or not I can go with a 14K bulb (400 watt PFO HQi ballast) and still maintain maximas on the bottom of my 30" deep tank. It is a BB tank. I have 10K XM's ready to go on the tank, but I miss the thought of having ricordea and lps in the tank because the XM's might bleach them from being too bright.
What do you guys think?

I am running 14k's and my lps and rics do great.As far as the maxima's go I have one 2" and he stays fully open and seems healthy as a horse.

To be honest I never heard that you couldn't keep them with 14's or that 10kxm's would bleach lps/rics
