Hello Everyone,
pperez... you know on my bedroom side I really thought of the looking out the captains window and having it look like that with the beams and distressed looking wood. Still might even make it removable for easy cleaning and such. End of tank are not going to be viewable as such is the design.
cbeitel...The mast is going to be lying over in the tank as if it has broke and fallen to the sea floor. My crownest is actually in the wrong position as it should be in the top part but one sail down. But I made it that way to have it lying over in the coral side and sticking (hopefully) a piece of coral or something in it.
invincible569, blufyre3, FSOL, 220gallon, steveboo...Thanks for the comments. Hope everyone finds it interesting. If you get bored let me know I'll bring in the dancing....wrasse. ha ha
Got the front slider done. Not to heavy but when you have a linear that lifts almost 800 pounds it should be no problem. RRIIGGHHTTT . Stupid, frigging, pos, what the heck is going on here. Well a couple of long days and I am still not done. Redid the side pieces so they would match then I put the bottom guides in and screwed them into the pieces I just redone and (oh c--p) I've got about 1/2 of screw thread coming out the other side. Whatcha gonna do.(call ghostbusters) got a recording.(holiday) So I cut two more for a grand total of six pieces that should have only been two in the first place. Now put on the door hook up the power and (oh man) yep nothing, nada, zilch, black hole whatever. I give the actuator a little help and it takes off but when you stop it or its all the way at the bottom it wont do it on its own. And I dont even have the tv on thier yet. So tomorrow I will call the actuator company and see what they say. Other than that its pretty cool. I will take pics tomorrow and post.
Lurk, read, post and above all learn from what others do as you will be successful too.
Mike
