300G inwall 'stalled'

Thanks canyousee. Hopefully updates soon. Super busy at work and my free time is with my kids right now. Tank is pretty much cycled I think, trying to set up my QT so I can get some fish in there. Need to build shelving for it but no time.

Looking at my rock that was fresh live rock many months ago but heavily neglected in a rubber made tub with a skimmer I saw some thing interesting last night. I assumed after extremely high salinity from my neglect for way to long that I'd have killed off all life. (off the scale high no top off water for some time) I haven't seen a pod, worm or crab, absolutely nothing since my salinity kill. I've been feeding mysis as part of my cycle and found what must be all of them collected and stored in about a 4" space on some rock. Various stages of decay from old to fresh some almost in a caccon type covering.

What creature lived through the insane salinity? What collects and stores food like that?

Not much of a update one of my Waveline pumps died, less then stellar performance there!( +-two months of use) It was feeding the closed loop. I did buy a non DC Red Dragon 12 pump to replace it off a local reefer for cheap, new in the box. Didn't really need to 'control' that pump anyways and now I've got a super reliable pump instead.

Bought a third Mitra light, originally thought I could get away with two but reality says I needed at least three, might go for a forth as there is a used one I'm thinking about. I should have them mounted this weekend. Still have not completed my electrical….

Another mini stall, took on a big backyard landscape project that I thought would never end, it's done.

Got this box today

Cant believe how nice the build quality is with Reef dynamics, so nice.

I hope to have water in the tank by the end of the weekend, I think I have everything, I hope I do... we'll see soon.

Is this the BP250??
With a 300 gallon display an 200 gallon sump why did you not go with the BP500? Just curious, I just ordered the 500 but it will be 3-4 weeks before I get it.

Being new to the world of bio-pellet reactors my thinking was it should be enough, no one ever seems to max out the amount of pellets that they can hold and max flow through. That was my thought behind my decision, only time will tell I guess if I'm right or wrong.

Doing my electrical as I type this. QT tanks set up, fish in one corals in the other.
Powering through a lot this weekend.

Thanks for your interest. EDA how big is your tank/ water volume?

Another way of looking at it is I wanted I 'light dose' of bio-pellet reactor.
Lots of people with heavy use of bio-pellets seem to have some negative effects. Again I've never used one so take my advice lightly.

300 gallon display, 30 gallon shallow frag tank, 75 gallon sump/fuge.
I'm having issues with really high nitrates right now so I figured I would go with the 500 in case the 250 would not be enough.
Nice build.... I'm tagging along

I've got a lot things done since my last update, work and kids keeping me busy...

I have my electrical pretty much finished, ran a separate panel for my fish room then ran in five separate 15 amps circuits, way over kill. That then feeds 12 separate gfci plugs. The sump return and closed loop pumps on there own circuits as well as the Apex, then others grouped together accordingly. Just need to tidy up with wire trays. Lights are hung, ended up mounting four Mitras over the tank, still waiting for a hanging kit for one. Two QT tanks set up, a 30g and a 40g.
Placed some corals in the tank from QT about a month ago. Just placed my first fish in tonight after eight weeks in QT. One male Lyretail Athenias and four females, except I believe one female is going for a sex change. Two Black Ice Clownfish, a Purple File fish, and a Banggai Cardinalfish. I had three other Banggai but they vanished? They all look happy. Also have a Magnificent Fox Face in QT with a some Allen Chromis. Plus I have a Purple Tang that I've had for twelve years in another tank that I'll add him after adding some the rest of my wish list of tangs first.
That's about it, I'll post some pics soon. Thanks for looking and following.
