thanks, and yeah love this pump so far. My water is really cloudy from the rocks skimmer is trying to get some stuff out but then overflows after not paying attention to it. wish i was removing the collection cup before that happens. but im gonna do almost a full water change probably in a couple days.

and here is part 3 of my video series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRs8E_MlpHc

well i let the the system run for a few days, today i drained all the water i could and filling it back up, The water was cloudy and there is a weird film and yellowish junk coming from the rock. So we will see how the water looks this time. and test it if it looks cleaner or change it again.

the nice thing is that the tank is close enough to the kitchen sink where the rodi unit is. so i can reach the tank to add water directly from the rodi, and i can empty or refill with a pump and hose fairly easy as well. so i havent used and jugs at all and all i need is my 30 gal rubbermaid with heater and pump to do water changes. pretty damn easy. gonna be alot less work than before thats for sure. (not that i did water changes anyways but you get the drift)

Pedro, this is looking really good. I have a diatom filter if you need or want to use it to polish the water and it works like you would not believe. I have offered it many times to others but never any takers. It takes a little work to use it and stay on top of it but the results are well worth it.

Thanks John, im gonna test my water today and probably do another 90% water change, but it is clearing up more than the first go round with saltwater in it. So ill let ya know for sure.

Got my light yesterday, and im pretty impressed. still feels weird how this small thing with not much heat will take care of my corals. And the extreme shimmer also will take a bit more to get used too. Only thing is i thought the apex jr would be able to hook up directly to the unit with a cable or something. but i need a vdm module also. gonna test water today and see what the rock is doing. I also have most of the wiring and cables in place just need to tidy them up. and yes i had to cut off a piece of my trim to make the arm for the ai nano work.

Front tank shot with blues at 100% and whites at 50%

right hand side, damn near the middle perfect for this tank

left hand side, you can see the rock shade its doing, but i like

the sump up and running, i have the bigger 300w heater here as a back up, and a smaller 150w hooked up to apex. Light works but is still kinda big, and rock probably wont end up being in the refugium area. also switching to a mesh wheel on the skimmer pump made it WAY more quiet. cant really see the 3 temp probes.

THanks again, i tested the water and the results were great, i was just worried about phosphates really, since there is nothing else in the tank to test, the skimmer is still pulling out some stuff, mostly barely brown water. So im gonna order dr tims one and only today and see when it can arrive. then i want to order some nice damsels.

i did get some cheato and some coraline flakes from sams tank. and i saw a couple pods there also. so i now have life in the tank.

No sand yet, i might just not put any , but i could use some cheato or caulerpa or whatever other plants/algae you guys got that i can grab a bit of.
