The current lighting scheme is the way to go with LEDs right now, standalone just lacks too much (broad) spectrum in my highly educated/experienced opinion.

Excellent foresight into the nuances of the "burnt tips / STN" phenomenon in ULN systems with elevated dKH levels ... Wish some select others would open their limited/challenged minds when someone who knows what they're talking about informs them of this

The corals are awsome! What I liked even better were the small patches of algae, and maybe even an aiptasia sighting - shows the excellence that can be achieved without that sterile, ultra-low-nutrient faded-corals look. Your corals are very healthy with rich, deep vibrant colors. Bravo!
