336 A.G.E. Peninsula Tank

I almost had myself convinced to go with one of the new aqua illumination LED lights, I just think the tank is to deep. It would be really nice to have though.

Its just the fact that in 6 months there will be a new LED with twice the light or something thats holding me back, that and now that there is two LED companies the prices will start coming down due to competition.

Well I placed my order yesterday for my ATI BM-250 and a tradewind 1/2hp chiller. I will be making my savko order at lunch today which should be fun.

Oh heck with it go for it, stuff in the aquarium hobby never gets cheaper anyway.

djay, its euro braced so 1/2 isn't a problem, if it was rimless it would deff. be 3/4

stdreb, just because it doesn't get cheaper doesn't mean its less painful to drop the cash. I just don't think its got enough juice, if I did I wouldn't have ordered the chiller.

I will have to travel international occasionally but not for significant amounts of time. I have people who can watch my tank here in town.

Good call, shows how much I am out of it today, I called and talked with one of the guys at Trade Wind and he convinced me that 1/2HP would be just fine. I really don't mind saving the $250 difference between the two of them anyways. I almost went with a 2 HP cause premium aquatics has them listed as 3 dollars. :)

Lets not get started on bad days... Havent talked to Ashley all day, not really sure whats up with that? are you busy tonight... Might need to call you.

Pretty sure he is in a holding pattern till the tank comes in. I know equipment has been ordered and he is working on a sump quote/building it himself....

Well the tank was supose to be finished this week so I could pick it up sat. , but they are running behind schedule because of some big acrylic tank they are building. I have been told that they have all of the materials and that they are going to start building the tank today. So we will see.

I ordered the skimmer, chiller, pump, and bulkheads already which should be in shortly. I am waiting for a quote from Trigger systems on how much it would be to build my sump. If it's to much I am going to make the sump this weekend while I wait on the tank.

Don't worry, I know that you aren't the only person waiting for their tank. One of my friends in Houston is waiting for his too(and he even knows Tom).

Not worried, it would have been much more convenient if the tank was ready this sat. then next week.

Still have to get the design for the sump hammered out.

Well I finally have some real pictures to contribute to the thread. Below is the stand, and base of the tank being routered out.

I am scheduled to pick the tank up from the shop in Dallas next Sat. I am currently working on getting the details hashed out with AquaDave's to have Trigger Systems build my sump. I have a few design changes that I want incorporated into the sump. Sounds like they do fast work so I should have it by the end of the week when I go pick up the tank.

That looks just like my A.G.E! Built nice, eh? :) And you have to love those countersunk holes for the bulkheads!

They are quite nice, I wanted to go with the Hayward Hex bulkheads countersunk but I just couldn't justify spending twice as much on bulkheads for hex vs. round bulkheads.
