37g Build

This is covered in other posts, but I'm working out the details of a mag9 vs 2 hole draining.
Also, I'm going to have a sump made. With everything I'll spend on livestock, etc, I convinced myself its a good investment.
That will delay things another few weeks.

Picked up my sump while at the swap on Saturday.
It's extremely well built, I'm pleased.
Leak tested overnight, no issues (didn't expect any).
I'll plumb the next few nights and do some FW testing before gluing it all up.

Great work - have been following all along. Who made the sump for you- I may be in the market for one. Our 37 cube setup ( purchased from Ryan/peccavi18 recently ) is up and running ( cycling) , Don't suppose you made an extra canopy .... I will be using a 150 DE pendant that is "ugly" and I hope to figure out some way to enclose it and the light "spill" without causing too much heat problems.

OK, the tank is in its final location, and full of dead sand and saltwater. Holy crap is it still cloudy, even though I thought I washed the fine sand pretty well. I think I need to add some temporary particulate filtration for sure. I'm a little concerned that the flow from the mag 9.5 returns and the fine sand is going to be a problem...

It's split 4 ways now, although there is no rock yet to disrupt the flow. I'm thinking some filter bags on the drains to the sump might help, anyplace local I can find drawstring style bags?

Will you stain or use marine paint (canopy)? My daughter would want to put Hanna Montana stickers all over it and call it a day....but I'm hoping you have better style in mind! ;oD

Finally getting interesting

Mostly set up. Transferred rock and some coral frags from my 90.

Thank you. By the way, the sump is working great Keith. You should start making the bottoms in Deere green or something :)
I'm trying to go slow with additions to avoid a big algae bloom.
I think the first fish will be a blenny.
I'm also thinking a fairy or flasher wrasse.
Considering a jawfish or a shrimp gobie.
A few aptaisia made the transition, so I've been trying to eradicate them before it gets out of control.
I'll be taking down the 90 soon, so I will have rock and sand for sale shortly. I'm not sure if I'll sell or keep the tank (36x24x24, 3 holes on the short end). Most of the good equipment got recycled to the new tank.

Just a quick update, the tank is home to a hector's goby; yellow watchman and bicolor blenny. All are doing well. I'll have to get some pictures...
