40 Breeder FTS Thread

I have never drilled on myself but there are lots of vids online showing how it's done. Doesn't look to bad. I think the key is to use a lot of water, drill slow and don't push (let the drill do the work. Were you wanting to drill the bottom or do something through the side like a beananimal overflow or GH's overflow? From what I have seen and read the beananimal is the way to go.

Are you getting another 40B or going bigger?

No I'm sticking with the 40b Im just tired of hearing my overflow box. Its really noisy. And I have looking at all the scratched on my glass in my tank. What's the beananimal one? Is it online or something?

Just a heads up, the G-H overflow box is not dead silent. There is still sounds of water trickling in the box itself. Not too bad, but thought I'd mention it.

My white balance went screwy with the front shot, but its starting to fill in nicely

Not exactly a FTS, but Enjoy!!!

my not so conventional 40g breeder... more of a coral tank than a reef tank... but i still love it :)

Haha nice Pallobi. I like the corals. What kind of tiles are those?

they are jus some sort of tiles used in house bathrooms or kitchens or something. i got them from some dude i know as they were leftover from some house project he did...

actually jus finishing up adding the 20g long gravity fed refugium which i will post a pic of in my thread shortly i assume :)

i have gotten alot of flack from my reefer friends about not having sand and all kind fo rock in there, but i love barebottom and i love the corals... its more of a coral display than anything and i will be adding a couple fish here very soon, as they are being medicated at the moment... that will spruce it up a bit lol...

Haha dont worry about those people. I think your tank is unique. It looks very clean and you dont see that everyday.

lol, oh i dont worry, the important thing is my corals are growing and i have lost nothing... i love goin against the grain of the "norm"... its what i do lol

and thank you for the compliment... much appreciated my friend :)

i would like to add that i have two fire shrimp and they regularly spawn babies, although i have made no effort to try and get them to grow, the babies usually disappear within a day or two, but they have spawned quite a few times... one is currently holding eggs now...

i dont see too many with a mated pair of fire shrimp, so thats chill :)
