I also put the acropora immediately near the top of my duel Hydra 26 HDs (on my 40 Breeder) with no signs of bleaching after 2 days. That is the benefit of aquaculture corals, I guess. They are used to bright light.

I agree, don't blast your corals brotha.
I had the Hydra 26 HD's and they'd fry new LED acros. You have an Acclimaion mode. Use it! I did and all my acros did great since most came from T5 or MH.

Yep. I am making sure everything can handle the LEDs by slowly acclimating/moving them up in the rocks before gluing them. Luckily, our LFS frag tank uses LEDs, so it makes it a lot easier to acclimate. All my acros are doing pretty well after a week or so, but I have a monti cap that I bought that is still getting used to the light. It was towards the edge of the frag tank without full coverage from the LEDs, when I bought it. It looks like it is starting to recover now, though.

I am still tinkering with my settings and I am planning on renting out a PAR meter in the next couple of weeks to see what my levels are looking like instead of just guessing.

Yeah, i got a deal by talking to the guy. Ill post an update on the tank tommorrow morning. Can you post a pic of yours? Anyways, all the corals are growing and the ORA voodoo stag has grown a couple of millimeters already.

Which guy? I want the deal you got!!!!

Just ask if they can make you a special deal. He said it was a one time thing for me though. Try not to mention me or anything you may have read here so that others may have a chance to do the same

Hey guys and gals,
I just finished taking the pics of my corals with my uncle's Nexus 5. Enjoy!

My unknown acropora. I've taken to calling it a Green Tip Fire Stag.

And, for my science fair project, since I am working with corals, I got 10 neon green birds nests (seriatopora caliendrum) and a Hollywood stunner chalice. I'll keep yall updated. Feel free to ask questions about my new sump and system

Oh, and I also got 5 yellow tail damsels just for kicks. They aren't aggressive towards each other and I think it will work out.

Does anyone know if they could breed in my tank?
