400G Plywood Build

Just out of curiosity, if you wanted to hang something from the sides in the tank, would you glue it directly to the fiberglass/epoxy, or would you drill in a screw or something as an anchor and then waterproof that? Again, just spitballing.

Dave, can you give me an example of something that you would hang from the side of the tank (just to see if i'm understanding the question).

Okay, say you wanted to fill in the sides a bit. Many people take a piece of egg crate/light diffuser and glue/foam live rock and corals to it. In a smaller tank you can just lean this against the side or maybe glue/silicone it to the side. In a really tall tank this would be kind of chancy and I'd like to somehow anchor the light diffuser to the side more stably. Have you seen anything like that in your investigations or have any ideas? Thx

Dave, once you have completed the tank you could cut pieces of acrylic and embed them with thickend epoxy to the inside of the tank back wall. If you make a hole in the acrylic you could use tiewraps (sp.) to tie the eggcrate to the piece of acrylic.

just an idea.
