400W MH and sps growth

I have 3 400W reeflux 12K SE bulbs new at christmas time. I don't like the growth i'm getting with these bulbs in my tank. I have a 135 gallon oceanic BB tank. I'd like your opinions on bulbs and sps growth, table, poc., monti, birdsnest. I have 2 72" sun VHO bulbs, used to have actinic, but changed to the sun when I bought the 12K.

Its my oppinon that your growth issues have nothing to do with light.

THats a ton of light for that tank. Your issue lies elsewhere.

i bought a used light, got a good deal on it. It is 72" long, fit the size of my tank, another reason I bought it. What do you feel would slow the growth of the sps?

So what is the problem with the growth? I am thinking about going to these bulbs. Is it slower than what you had? What did you run?

growth is probably about your water parameters, not light.

My growth exploaded when I started keeping constant CA and ALK levels with 2 part.

I am guessing you do not have constant alk and ca for the corals to maximize growth.

I was running a hamilton, blueline, and xm 10k set. The original bulbs were blueline, two broke, tried out the xm and hamilton. I had more growth under these than I've had with the reeflux 12K. I also liked what I read about them, but for my tank, they haven't been as good.

I've been using reef advantage calcium and reef builder the whole time. I have had some drops in calcium to 350, I try to keep it at 400 ppm.
