You should talk to Bill Wann. He has a 20k gallon private reef tank in the US and has been trying some commercial leds for growing coral on his 10ft deep tank.

^^^ agreed. He uses I believe coralvue leds on his tank. He switched from MH on 1 side to test out the difference. You can find him on FB

His products are also top notch

After discussion with Ehsan Dashti of Triton , we decide to make some modifications to the tank as follows ;
1) Making the overflow to the sump bigger by increasing the pipe size from 2 inch to 4 inch.
2) increase the flow rate from sump to display tank by adding four Abyzz A400 pumps to the system.
3) Adding one more skimmer for sump .
4) Switching from LED to Halide as the depth ( 3 m) of the tank is too deep for conventional LED to grow SPS .

You should contact Joep from JMB aqualight. He makes LED for huge public tanks. I've seen his 1000W LED spotlight, I don't think MH is stronger [emoji13]

grow coral at all levels of his reef to eventually replace the halides:

Overflow box outside the tank which we will have to drill an 8 inch hole using coring method in order to accommodate more flow into the sump .

Finished core drilling 7 holes to increase the amount of water flow by gravity to the sump at the rate of 100,000 L/H . It took almost a day to complete the job .
