50,000 litre tank in a boutique hotel (Bangkok , Thailand)

This is going to be so cool.
What an awesome project.
Planning to visit next time in Asia

I can about image ordering the clean up crew....

Can i get 10,000 snails please... LOL
Seriously though, this is REALLY cool.

At this size of a tank, what do you do for water changes? bring in more natural SW? Mix SW? or trition (spelling) method and maintain with chemicals and no water changes?

Since the water from the tank entering the sump via over flow is over 5 m height causing excessive foam just like what skimmer does . This is going to be labour intensive as the foam will have to be get rid off .

More photos of wavy lines on the sand . This happened without turning the hydro wizard on yet . I am having problem with Panta rhei company which sells the hydrowizard .They do not seem to care about their customer and very slow at responding and in my case asked me to send photos and videos in order to find what caused excessive noise in the propeller , which I did . It is now almost a week with no reply from them to the point that I have given up . Although it is a good product but not worth buying due to bad after sales service . If I can turn back the clock , I would have bought the Abyzz wave maker instead !!!!

I'm confused here. Why are the wavy lines in the sand an issue? If you fly over shallower areas in the actual ocean you will see such waves which indicates good flow

No ! wavy lines are not the issue . You are correct that it shows good water flow just like in the ocean . The issue I am facing is excessive noise in the propeller of hydrowizard , which I am not sure whether it is normal or not. Thats why I had to turn it off and asked the manufacturer .

Hi Mr. Sirichok,
What an amazing tank! For the problem with foam build up: It may help, if the return pipes are reaching below the water line of the sump and end with a 90 degree bow. Further, this way it should make less noise also.

You might want to create something similar to this and submerge it. It is super silent silent for me but even more importantly it helps defuse bubbles.

No more excessive foam in the sump/ refugium on the third day . This is without any adjustment , probably natural process in the nitrogen cycle .

NSW is crystal clear but with slightly yellow tint . I will use carbon to get rid of the yellow tint towards the end of Nitrogen cycle .

I am so glad I saw this, I was looking at the hydro wizard or the Oceans motions

Looking good and like you have some bacterial action going on!

I think your foam issue with the drains will return as your bioload increases however - Other than having them exit under water to reduce the amount of air forced in, I'm not sure how best to stop that issue.

Excited to see how this will be developing!

I agree here. You're basically doing the same thing as the protein skimmer here in the sump... some people have a skimmer that works using gravity, just like this (e.g., Eli's 30k reef tank). This is a simple fix with some couplers and extra lengths of PVC.
