50,000 litre tank in a boutique hotel (Bangkok , Thailand)

Last night not sure what happened ! My three red dragon pumps went dead . I only had them less than a year . All other pumps are still working . Not sure what to do with them .
I used these 3 red dragon pumps for my skimmer and chiller .

Anyone with the same experience ?

The pumps are ok but the drivers are broken .

Only thing I can think is a power surge, if there have been no other changes.

Long shot, I had a simular situation with 4 tunze masterstreams. Problem there was a new controller I connected to them, somehow put them in some sort of failsafe mode.

Have you connected the drivers to any new controllers recently?

No I have not connected the drivers to any new controllers .
It could be power surge , but my abyss pumps are doing fine and also cheap chinese pumps ( jebao) are all intact .
Only red dragon pumps are affected .

No , I gave up . I just changed it to continuous mode which has less noise . I will never buy from that company again . No responsibility and no response from them at all .

Sorry Sirichok, but your statement ist not right. Contact to Panta Rhei is of course cumbersome but they told you in many emails that you have not place the pump right. And you also don't use the silencer that Panta Rhei and I recommend to you. I tried to convey between you and Panta Rhei and I send you many WhatsApp how to check/test the pump and the way you have to do the test. But you have not follow my recommended and the pump shot true the tank although I told you that it is very dangerous.
If you don't follow the recommendations you can't give the mistake to other people. I know people who use that pump and they will approve that the pump is not super silence but in living room there is no problem. You use the pump in the lobby and there should also be no problems if you go the right way.
I am sorry to say that.

I am sorry to inform you that i never received any emails from them . They never told me that I placed the pump in the wong position . The last contact I had with them was that my impeller was faulty which was non sense .
All i got was your recommendation and your emails not from the manufacturer . I appreciated your help but you are not the manufacturer and with the depth of 3 m , your recommendation is very difficult to adhere . It is impossible to fit 2 ppl into the tank with scuba equipment . You asked me to put a silencer and that is an impossible task too . If i were informed of the need to have a silencer then I could design it before but not after completion of aquarium .

Just to prove how wrong you are . I also attached my last conversation with the seller with no response whatsoever .

You can recommend the product to friends and thats your opinion . But I have the right to voice my opinion too which I will repeat again . This company us terrible , do not every buy it !!!

Thanks for your opinion and please hear customer "˜s opinion too .

Another evidence !!

Their last response was "œ Damaged impeller "œ and then disappeared in the thin air . And then informed you that I should use a silencer .They never informed me anything .

And your recommendation was to put at least 2 ppl in the water at 3 m height while turning the hydrowizard on . Would you be responsible for their safety ? What if they are electrocuted while in the water or if some accident happened in the pump ?

And then the silencer has to be attached to the wall not fibre .But the aquarium has been built with fibre structure attaching to the cement wall . Do i have to empty all the water from the aquarium and drill a hole in the fibre structure just to attach your silencer and then seal the fibre again ?

Thats why I gave up !!

During that time , the seller never got in touch with me . !!!

Something had to happen to cause 3 controllers to go out at once. I can’t speak for the other pumps but this is not a normal failure. I can however assure you that this is NOT normal for these pumps regardless of any other pumps working still. I would try plugging them into a different wall outlet and see if maybe something is wrong with the outlet itself. We will handle this through PM from here on out and help you get back up and running but these RD3 230 pumps have been rock solid since they were first released 3 years ago.

Good morning Sirichok!

Sorry for my bad English. I don't want to make you feel angry. I live in the area of Royal Exclusive, Abyzz and Panta Rhei. I use the products of all and they are all very good. The people who I am in contact are sure that Abyzz and RE have the better after sale. I don't recommend the Hydro Wizard to anybody. In the past only Panta Rhei have powerheads of this 3 suppliers. In this size just Panta Rhei was able to deliver. This pumps are sold all over the world in puplic aquaria and to privat. Normally they don't need silencers. But there are situations they use silencers because the place or the material the pump fix will transfer or rise the noise. Then you need silencers.

To test these pump quickly for check everything is well I recommend to test them pump by holding by hand.

If you start at 1% you can hold the pump by hand in tank or from outside. Then you rise percent by percent. I think this is a fast way to check and I see no problem with two guys swimming in tank. When you rise very slowly then you can stop if you think more power will be dangerous. Electricity could not be a danger because everybody working in tank by hand. I enter 3 times a year my tank with my complete body an don't stop electricity. If you do that I think you will not hear anything outside the tank.
But starting the pump an fix it on wall by one stone does not work and it is dangerous. This pump is very powerful and you can fix it on Fibre structure. You need some massive. For example you would not fix an outboard engine outside with cable ties.
I don't want to criticizing you. Eyery tank is different an there is not the only way to do something. So everybody have to find his way. A supplier can't rise you every possible way. That should not be an excuse for Panta Rhei. I just wanted to be helpful for your problem. I don't wanted to protect Panta Rhei

I think to reduce the water level for a half meter to cut Fibre structure and fix pump to wall could be possible.

Ones again. Don't want to attack you. If you feel bad about what I wrote it is owing my bad English
