50 Cube SPS Zeo Reef

He wouldn't give me any of that one Perry..........:twitch:

I am sure you have something(AKA TOO MANY THINGS) in your tank that Dom would probably chomp at the bit to swap you :) No worries, knowing the dark force, you probably already have a frag you intend to photo bomb later this summer when it is all grown up.... :strooper:

I really like the contrast between the zoas and the clam you have!!
Thanks mate, it's a great little spot for the clam and it turned out exactly as I had intended :)

Hi Dom,

What Acro is this please?
You'd have to ask Darth Acro on that one Bulent, I think it might be a SSC variation but Andrew can confirm or deny on that :)

Dang Dom,
You got some killer colors coming in man, great job!
And I am loving this

Thanks Perry :) The tank is doing really well at the moment and I'm quite happy! I love that piece too, it's going to be getting a prime spot when I actually have a spot for it haha

haha when you complain like that  I cleaned all the sh!t off that frag rack and in the process I accidentally made a frag of it so there's a tiny little piece with your name on it now lol the rack is sooooo much cleaner now and it makes me happy haha

Andrew u need to improve ur pick pocket skills
:lolspin:

Pretty much everything that goes into that lovely tank I want haha there are a few little pieces floating in there that have quite some substantial potential to them! I certainly can't wait to see what they do :eek1:

Well now that I've replied to everyone I have to say the tank took a bit of a turn some time last week  I wasn't really able to get home at all last week to do anything with the tank or even see it and the slightly incapable tank sitter (aka my brother) decided to neglect mentioning that the ato had run out and the evap had gone through a bit without top up! :headwalls: What this meant was when I finally got the chance to visit the tank and do a much needed water change the salinity was up at nearly 41ppt :eek1::crazy1: needless to say some of the acro's are rather ****ed off now! A few tips are looking a little sad and things aren't quite perked like usual so the water change was done and the salinity is back to a far more respectable level lol hopefully everything doesn't mind the little mishap lol everything had pe on the tips when I was back today so good signs after a very nervous morning the other day lol

Don't stay away from your tanks folks lol

haha unfortunately I've been stiffed with relative looking after the tank :headwally: tank has survived without me and just him looking after it, I can't wait to have everyone here with me!!

Just a small update for the evening :) Had some time to do a couple of tests this afternoon and grab a quick pic or two. All things are looking pretty good and the tank has bounced back after a little spike in salinity and a few brunt tips :( lol everything not doing too badly though! I have my computer back now just need the tank with me lol
Salinity: 35ppt
Alk: 6dKH
Ca: 390ppm
Mg: 1200ppm

Right hand side of the tank and my favourite inhabitant

Firetruck is still going real strong even if the pic does make it look a little pink lol

This little frag looks great now the rack has been cleaned up and sorted out, colours should get better from here on in :)

I have to say, I love taking photo's of the Sunny D's! They always seem to turn out so well!! Happy frag either way :)

Nice to see the Firetruck is doing well. You think that is a Lokani because for me they seem impervious to everything that makes other acros unhappy.

I'm certainly happy lol I actually have no idea what species it is because every time I get it to this size ot has a different growth form haha but I would agree with lokani except we can't get them here as they're not local :(

Dom,
That was a close call man, I always get nervous even being away for a long weekend, which I have coming up in the summer. Other than that, I am glad work does not have travel. Glad to see you didn't have a mess to deal with, great job getting back in the zone, your corals are magnificent!!!
Cheers :)

It definitely was a close call, lucky my acro-senses tingled when I saw the tank! Things just didn't look right and then I noticed the tissue had burnt on some tips and looked odd on others. So out came the tests lol lucky I caught it and it was fixed quickly :)
It's hard not being near your tank often, especially when there are things you want to do/fix. Ah well, such is life I suppose and I'll continue doing the best I can for the moment :)

Dom, excellent colours! Your collection has me green with envy. I never understood the Zoa craze but clams and acros I get!!! More please!?!

Your corals are looking so good, wow! I've probably mentioned it before, but that firetruck acro is amazing! Great work getting that color

Thanks Kevin :) I'm sure you'll outdo me in no time with all the sps you guys have access too :eek1:

Wow Conor, that's a huge compliment coming from you and it means a great deal to me :) I'm really happy with how the acro's are doing in the tank at the moment and the firetruck seems to be on a strong up at the moment!

Does anyone know the name or even if it is named of the green millie on the first page? I think it's the 12th photo down.
I don't think it has a name and it's definitely not a milli if you're talking about this one??

I am not sure if it is a Millie but I picked one up from my local store for $15 when it was brown and now it's green. The one I am talking about is actually the 11th one down, second one after you list acros.

Oh, that's just a nameless acropora spathulata :) good to hear it's coming along for you mate :)

Boy, oh, boy was today a good reefing day! After many moons of wanting, the gods have smiled upon me with the addition of the smallest and most cute little Copperband Butterflyfish I've ever seen :) Today is a good day lol Big thanks to Deer Park Aquarium for such an amazing little fish! Not even 10minutes in the tank and he's already picking around at the rock :)
