540 Acylic FOWLR

Yup! It's in front of a standard AGA 75 g tank & stand it's a MONSTER skimmer for sure I can't wait to plug this thing in!!!

I picked up a PanWorld 200 XP to run it but I really want to see how it runs on the Dart here as it is less than half the watts.

Ok Moved the tank inside the house today Rolled both the stand and tank on pvc pipes to the front door then had 3 other people help lift. I put a new piece of 1 inch foam under the tank. Ran into a couple of problems I had to rip out the door jam on the front door and replace it with a new one. Meaning installing hinge, lock and striker plate all over what a Mess!! But got it all back to normal and even looks and works better then before. Another thing is I have two deep scratches on the front and some very light ones on the sides where we lifted it. I would like to fix them all now because I can still move the tank around. Where and what kind of kit should I use to buff out the scratches and does it leave any marks or waves.

Filled the tank today with the hose to test it out and see if everything holds and is level the tank didnt move at all and the stand only make 2 little creecking noises for a sec I think somethings was under the stand like a pebble that it smashed whell so far everything seems to be ok I am going to keep the water in it for a couple of days just to besure .Updates and pics coming soon ...

WOW! That stand looks solid. Congrats on getting the tank up and in place, that's a big step! Too bad about the scratches, and good luck buffing them out.

Why? I have heard all good reviews about the company

Capt. Insano, I've heard nothing but bad about Precision and Corey (Cmulawka) is the only person so far that has had anything half decent to say about the company. Nice looking set-up so far Corey.... good luck!

I did some plumbing today. I plumbed the returns and the overflows and return pump. I still have to plumb the skimmer and build a canopy and stand face.

Hmm, a check valve used horizontally ?? They don't work very good vertically much less horizontally

Did some tile today I almost have all the whole tiles down. I also put my 90 canopy that I will be selling in the selling forum on top of the tank just to see how it looks with light on it.

everything is looking great and your making alot of progress. the tile floor is a great idea with unavoidable water spills to come. i would try and silicone around the base of the stand and tile floor. there will deffinently be a small gap there were water will sit and rot the sub floor if you dont. also i agree with asnatlas, check valves arent very reliable and with having one mounted horizontal id say its way less effective still. if you do want to use them id try to find a vertical section of the plumbing and tap into it.
keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

No place to put them I think It will be ok because IMAO im thinking the placement of the valves farther down the line = more water pressure pushing the valve close making it work better But I could be wrong lets hope not.

In a horizontal run the pressure is esentially the same on a gravity fed run and acutally slightly less due to frictional loss on the discharge side of a pump
