I also forgot to inform that all my current fish have been in hypo for about 2 months already prepping them to go in parasite free....all corals that could be removed were and then it was time to put the tank into hypo and fend off the ammonia spike from all the die off......I had to do 3 separate 70 gal water changes a day for a week to keep it safe for the fish and even then it was touch and go for about 8 days......

Rock

Rock

How are you planning to aquascape? Using Live / dead rock?

Also, curious if you are stacking the rock or using something to elevate the rock off the ground.

Fantastic build!

Fantastic build!

Tks, I will be putting up some pics here tonight...just took a break from all the pic organizing and posting

I put it in first without the sand then put the sand in around it and yes I stacked it

I wanted to protect the back and sides of the tank from scratches and constantly having to repaint it.....so I fastened with silicone 1/8 black acrylic on the back and I still need to put it on the sides...the paper is still on it and as soon as the build is complete I will remove the paper....

here is some of the rock sitting out getting ready to put in one by one after I had to climb into the storage tank and hand it out to a friend one by one which wasnt fun.....

here it is after positioning it in the tank.....it sits on 1/8 black acrylic so that it protects the bottom of the tank and helped me center it in the DT

like the rock set up!! so is it a pain working on a 36in tall tank?

no I built the stand with an extra foot on the back of it so I could walk along it and just reach in and do whatever I needed too, I can reach the front bottom just reaching down and it prolly doesn't hurt that I'm 6'2"....and the light fixtures will be on a rail system so they will move out of the way

the rock scape and deep sand bed look great, its coming along real nice

Tks, I do like the look of the sand up and down like it is but I think some of it needs to be spread out into the middle as these pics were just after I put it in. I still haven't messed with it as I have been working on so many other things but maybe I will leave most of it and let the fish spread it out....
