Ok so small update, Ceramic Rocks are ordered.
Overflow test done, I will be using only one pump rated at 2,150 gallons per hr, as the size of the plumbing on the overflow will not handle a lot more. One more smaller pump (in the range of 700 gal/hr) will be used for backup in case the other one brakes while on a trip.
Glass for the sump is ordered, and should be received by next week.
Remaining, Acrylic background & the rest of LED lights. Otherwise all should be more or less set for startup.

Some photos of the scape and I would like to thank Wolfgang and Susanne here for their patience and efforts to get things done. I was aiming for a minimalistic look with the least flow restricting design possible, always keeping in mind the depth at hand. Not sure how far off I am on this...

Thx salali! Actually I did not make them. A company in Germany did them. It is what they refer to as Reef Ceramics. What I did was tell them what I wanted in terms of design and structure and we kept swapping pillars and bridges until we reached a design that was satisfying. They were very helpful and gave me many different ideas that I had not previously though of. At one certain point they changed everything we had done at a previous stage. They were very very patient!

Allmost, thank you for the kind words, I hope that too! I will assemble them directly in the tank then fill with RODI, and then salt the water and keep on testing. I will be cycling the tank at the same time and putting some Caulerpa in the refugium. I will also be running GFO and monitoring phosphates. The makers and some of the people who have bought this product have said that leaching is very minimal if there is any and GFO should handle it. I will not take any risks and will not add the RDSB or any other rocks to the system until I make sure PO4 is very low.

Ok, so for a small update.
I have done the electrical on the tank. Well not me, I got an excellent electrician to do the job. The socket next to the tank would not handle the needed consumption, so they ran a dedicated line. The setup will be able to handle up to 6000 watts dispersed onto 60 sockets. 2 of them are dedicated to the chiller (should the need arise, which I suspect it will) and the heater.
I have distributed them on both the left and right side and up and down for ease of use and not to have wires all over the tank. Knowing myself, I am very prone to doing so!

This week should also be very interesting. I ordered the black acrylic panels for the sides and the back. The comb for the overflow is integrated in the back panel.
The ceramic rocks are at the port and should be cleared on Tuesday.
And the last of the LED lights should be here Thursday or Friday, so pretty exciting week ahead.
