550 gallons deep display from Lebanon

Very neat electrical setup.
I would still add a couple of timers in the circuit boxes for things you want to control like fuge lighting, fans...

Thx Maroun!

I will wait until I know which is which and then proceed accordingly with the timers. The main problem here is that each will have to control a bank of four, so all of them would be on or off at the same time if I were to add the timers to the circuit boxes.

ahlan ahlan, it is always great to meet lebanese refers all over the world. You have a great tank with a great fish selection (hint carmabi) and corals. Do you have a build thread on here, or somewhere else?

I would be glad to help your cousin here. The situation is getting better by the day, more and more equipment is coming in, but I still had to get most of it from abroad. I will pm my email to you and he can contact me anytime.

I not much here we have a club in venezuela and i have almost every thing there, but i have same posts here like this one http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1976083 but not new ones. You are most welcome anytime and it will be a pleasure to meet you.

Good luck with your business and I wish you all the best.

I will have all the liverocks in the sump and not in the main tank. Main tank will be all ceramics. I will also wait on biopellets and will test them on a later stage.

We are a bunch of reefers here in Lebanon but very few. One other build thread is the one of Maroun. this is his thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2015174

Happy new year everyone!

It has been a while as the end of the summer was very hectic due to business and heavy traveling schedule. But we are right back on track here a few photos of the update shots during this time.

Finished the side and back paneling from the inside with some black acrylic. The fact that I will be using 100% LED affected the choice of color greatly. I really hope I can keep it as clean as possible as the end result would be outstanding.

Sump is also done, 2 sumps joined together at the front. The skimmer will be in a separate sump at the back of the tank on its own stand. THe sump starts with 3 baffles then a raised eggcrate into 3 main sections. 1st 2 sections will be lit and will have Liverock and Caulerpa. I am still undecided which would would go first as I would prefer to start with Caulerpa, but thios would render pruning a much tougher task. The third section would be for unlit Liverock. Then there are 6 buckets that would serve as RDSB. This would make it much easier in case I want to remove them after a certain period of time.

And a few more photos of the partially lit tank. I have a maxspect G2 230W on the left and Chinese custom built 200 W fixture to the right. The second is a seriously powerful fixture to the eye. I will probably have to raise the fixtures a bit, but that is not a problem.

We should start the scape tomorrow! I will update accordingly!

aqua20, mike660r, thank you very much! So far, albeit with some delay, things are turing out the way I wanted them to.

webersole, I will take some more shots of the overflow tomorrow.

Maroun and Pierre passed by and helped me install the RO and set up the scape. Thank you guys!

The Ceramics came in a large box, well packed with all sort of styrofoam and bubble wraps. Very good packing due to the fragile nature of the ceramics. I had a few legs broken and everything was fixed easily using the cement sent along (easy because Maroun had previously worked with it and knew the exact consistency needed). The bridges were also cemented.

And now some photos:

I would love to see detailed photos of your overflow. I've been thinking of using something similar on my new tank.

Is that a door at the back of the tank that leads to the outside of your apartment?
How do you get access to it?
Awesome aquascape, really love the ceramic rocks. Too bad they are so darn expensive!

Looking good Raed:beer:

I am sure there will be swimming some pretty rare fishes in time:spin2:

Ceramik looks great,now the corals.

Thank you blkg35 That door leads to the terrace. This is the only access to the tank apart front the front both above and below the tank.

The ceramic rocks started with less pieces and then ended up with much more. The price was not very bad taking all factors into consideration. They are also very very porous.
