6 Bulb T5 Combo - Best Color / Growth

Hey guys, I know this is all over the place and there is a search button above...

But I want to ask for my personal sake;

I'm getting my ATI 6x39 Sunpower tomorrow for my tank, 36x19x20.
I'm looking to get the best color and growth out of my SPS.

I'm not crazy about the overly blue color. So I'd say my max would be 3 Blue + bulbs.

I saw on ATI website that 12-16k color would be:
3 ATI Blue Plus
2 ATI Coral Plus
1 ATI Purple Plus

Has anyone used this combo or one like it? I'd love to see pictures / results if possible!

3 blue+ and 3 aquablue special is the best in my opinion.

I was thinking of getting 4-blue plus and 2 coral plus, and adding two reef brite LEDs with it to try.

I've settled on the 3,2,1 combo above and like it a lot. You can't argue with 3C, 3B like BigE uses but I needed a little more red for my taste. I would purchase 3 C+, 3B+ and 1 P+ so you have options.

I have tried over and over to use ABS and I just can't stand the yellow.

I was using 3 kzsuper blue (blue+ equivalent ), 2 c+, 1 abs. But i just replaced one of the KZsb for a actinic, since some guys were getting great feedback from their corals to this bulb. I like it so far. But 3 b+ 3 c+ is a bit redish for me so i would swap out a c+ for a ABS. Sunnyx always said that a 1:1 mix of blue to white has been optimal for coral growth color and health.

I use the same as SCWA. 4 B+ 1 Coral+ 1 Purple+. Excellent color rendition.
Tried 4 Blue+ and 2 Coral+...colors seemed slightly washed out.

Agreed I just switched from 4 blue+ and 2 coral+ and definitely felt the colors were washed out. I'm currently running 3 blue+ 2 coral+ 1 actinic, I'm happy with this combo but definitely want to give 3 blue+ 3 coral+ a try.

That's why I'm going to try to add 2 reef brite LEDs to my ATI fixture, hoping not to wash any colors out. Will see how that combo works

Picked up a coral plus and I'm running 3 blue plus and 3 coral plus and liking it a lot. Very similar to 3 blue 2 coral 1 actinic except brighter.

Woot my fixture is here! Almost off work to go pick it up. I'm excited.

Going to go with Big E's recommendation. 50% Blue+\Coral+.

Did a lot of reading on his thread and the success and color is unreal!

I do have a Kessil 350 I may add in front of the fixture to add the LED pop.

That is the bulb combo I'm running, but also have the added LEDs. Well one of my Blue+ is actually a Geis/DD Actinic+ (the old bulbs before Geissmann changed their bulbs). Great combo.

Following the Big E recomendations, just yesterday change my t5 for 2 blue plus and 2 coral plus. I can tell you that the color is very real and I can feel more power ligh than 4 blue plus + 1 coral plus + 1 aqua blue

Very happy with the decision

Aquablue azure
Super purple.

It's a really nice looking combo
IMO. I bought a 65k bulb to experiment with as well. My SPS
Dealer has great success with them.
