Just got through fragging what was left of once a really nice ORA Birdsnest. I was doing fine until recently. It had not completely grown over the plug but was close. The plug was sitting loosely in a large hole in a rock.
I started noticing that the coral was being slightly spun around but I wrote that off to current. Then I saw the flesh on a tip or two start to "receed". After that it went downhill pretty fast and the coral was really being spun around. The flesh started disappearing from the tips and on other random areas with no particular pattern. However the base was never touched. Everything else seems ok so far.
I've noticed that my 6-line seems to show a lot of interest in this coral but haven't seen him picking at it. Has anyone had any experence with acro eating 6-lines? I think maybe he (or maybe something else) is eating them when the lights are out. Any ideas would be appreciated
