6' tank dimming

Is there a 2 lamp dimmable T5 ballast for 2x 3' in US?

How about anything for 96W PCs?

Hard to make 4' work on 6' tank!

Tough one!

yes we can supply 54 watt dual lamp ballasts dimmable and we can supply custom I bars, but the minimum length is 124.9cm so this would take you over 6 feet if linked with the linking bracket.

We can have made a 6' I bar but you would have 4' tubes?

There is another option and that would be to go for standard lighting then incorporate two dimmable tubes into the mix for morning and evening dawn dusk effect, even better when linked with the LED sticks!

You will be better off building your own lighting unit then, we can supply through dealer network all the electrical components for this, all GHL of course

That is fine - I am attempting to find source of proper dimming ballasts.

Is this unit a fairly new release? seems pretty cutting edge and not much out on google about it.

Tony, I don't think that you can get a dimmable ballast for 3' bulbs just yet. I know people want them but for now its the 54 watt for 4' bulbs.

You have a 6' tank why not slip two 4' bulbs in there?

What unit do you refer to? dimming function or the profilux itself?

The dimming function and dimmable ballasts have been around for some years now and used widely in Europe. The ProfiLux has been around in progressive form for over 8 years.

The 110V dimmable ballasts have only been around for about a year and are only available in 54 Watt, you will only find 54 Watt sylvania ballasts that will interface with the profiLux, nothing else is made for 110V with this feature as yet.

We have two 4' dimmable I bars coming into stock in the next 10 days able to ship to dealers.

The only way to get smaller tubes for 54 watt and with dimming is to DIY your own lighting unit, and use the GHL components to build this up, or as I and Todd have suggested, slip in two 54W 4' tubes, or more!

Only due to the fact the ballasts manufacturers do not make other wattage ranges, nothing at all to do with any limitation from the ProfiLux

in Europe all wattages are available, it is just in the North American market Sylvania being the only dimmable ballast maunfacturer with a 1-10V interface have only thus far launched 54 watt to the market. I have no idea why when they have the full range for 220v.

So a i say, not limited by profilux, but limited by what ballasts are available.
