I haven't been able to see the pics after like page 7-8 ish? They either come up w/ an x or not at all

+1 i cant see a pic throughout the whole thread. Its like a teaser. :(

Sorry about that. I host the pictures at work on one of our wireless backup links. I logged into work via one of the t1 links and the wireless link I'm using is indeed down. I can't switch it over to to one of the t1 links for security reasons... I'll try and get Miztic to remotely reset the switch and hardware uplink but I'm guessing something is wrong with the provider. Worst case scenario it'll be fixed Monday. :(

Sorry about that guys.

I'm really starting to hate white paint. The first rack is done, the second rack has a primer coat and its first coat. 2 more coats to go there, then 2 more coats on the tank trim.

I've spent upwards of 10 hours on white. Have probably another 8-10. I HATE white.

I ordered 2 Sfiligoi Stealth 12 bulb (4 foot) pendants. After looking at all the options I opted to go this route instead of the icecap retro. The main reasons were:

1) Cost. Because of the sale going on they were REALLY close in price.
2) Time. I've been DIYing almost everything and having a super thin package that just "works" for not that much more was very tempting.

I did not go with the 5 foot pendants because after reading the forums and talking with 3 individuals that hive high light t5's over thier tanks every one has problems keeping LPS under the direct throw of the pendants. This way I have 3 8" "holes" that will still get indirect light but not full light to put lower light LPS closer to the surface if I so choose.

Painting continues. I have 1 more coat of white On the tank trim and then the painting is done. I then have to start calking and siliconeing the room.

The woodwork on the outside of the tank is done. As soon as I get the final coat of white up I'll take some pictures of the outside and inside.

Painting done, caulking done, tank woodwork done. Keg ran out of beer :(

Good news is I have pictures :) Please excuse the children's toys scattered everywhere, I have three young daughters.

Your Palace looks GREAT :)

Thanks. There are still a lot of odds and ends to do. All that blue tape on the wall mark touch ups I need to make. I'm going to have an artist design a bronzed mirror for behind the bar with etching on it. I also need to pick out a ton of lights for the bar and other places (where bare bulbs are hanging) and finish that up. All the plates and wire termination need to be installed for the ethernet and the audio.

It'll be nice when its done. I'm taking a break from that stuff and am going to work on getting water in the tank asap now.

Can't wait to see this bad boy gets WET. Seems like forever the tank been sitting there empty cover in dust :)

Absolutely AMAZING! I'm definately tagging along now because the real fun is about to start. It will definately be interesting to see the build progress!
