Another- better pic of the pink margin wrasse.

He is settling in nicely and is eating well. Another 2 weeks and he and the two McCoskers can go into the main tank.

The McCoskers wrasse I DIDNT buy (and should have) is way way prettier than the one I did get. I dont think two males will get along though.

The pink margin is a socail wrasse, so I may try my hand at a few of those.

Paul did you get any females with your Pink Margin and McCoskars?

The males put on a great show if they have a harem of females.

this is a better full shot of the Maculiceps.

I picked this guy up from Scott at Oddballs in Tulsa a few months ago. Ever since I saw one of these in a TOTM I have wanted one. So far I am pleased to say he has settled in nicely and is no trouble at all.

The Powder brown has left it alone as well, which really surprised me.

Paul I've got a couple questions.

Do you ever have any algae issues in your tanks? What type of stuff do you do to control it?

What is your feeding like for all your fish?

Chad

Yes, I do have algal issues every now and again. Depends on the algae as to what I do...but a quick clean and a check of my sump usually gets it cleaned up. Right now I have a cotton candy algae that mexican turbos are cleaning.

Greg- All of the wrasses are from the Petco on NWexpway. I also have a pair of banana wrasses in QT that I picked up from there that are in QT. The Maculiceps is from Oddballs.

The Petco on NW expway has a male McCoskars that puts mine to shame- but thats the luck of the call. Mine was easier to catch.

Chad- does that answer your question?

P.

That the light is on, the water is flowing well and the macroalgae isnt too overgrown. Once the sump fills with chaeto, it stops growing, so after I pull out half of it, everything returns to normal.

I also use filter socks and run carbon once a month for a few days.

P.

Chad, I didnt answer the feeding part...I feed heavily. I really like the Arctipods from ReefNutrition as a good all round food. This stems from the use of Arctipods in QT. Once they eat that they are ready for the main tank. I also feed 2 sheets of nori daily as well as pellets and various other flake and frozen foods.

Looking really nice Paul. Hope to see it in R/L someday

Still hoping to get that 135 set up someday.

Paul,

When do you need someone to sit and stare at your tank while you take a break from it?
