600 gallon Acrylic and Glass Reef Construction.

Would you consider posting current pics of your fishroom showing the layout? I'm trying to plan one from scratch (10x14' room). Thanks for a truly inspiring tank and great build thread. The 2 year follow up is awesome.

Neil C

I believe somewhere in the thread there are pics of the room. Correct me if am wrong.

there are some on page 7-10 I think.

I really dont have any current pictures, due to it being hard to photograph.

There is an initial diagram, pics of the reef flo skimmers, the 100 and 150 gallon sumps, frag tanks, etc. I've studied the thread from beginning to end. I'm just curious to see more of a panoramic view of how the room evolved from the initial diagram. I'm embarking on a large build without much experience, and this thread has been extremely helpful. If it's a bother, don't worry about it, thanks again for all the great info.

its very different from the diagram as it became more spread out, and more tanks added, and more clutter, and more wires, and more tanks, and more and more...

Ill see if I can get some sort of a picture for you.

come on Paul its not clutter! its usefull gadgetry to further propell your addiction! we all live vicariously through you, lol

That would be pretty cool, just take a newer point and shoot camera, set it on panoramic and while standing in the middle of the room take several photos. It's actually pretty cool with the finished effect but I completely understand where Paul is coming from. Sometimes I normally don't open my sump when showing my tank due to the wires, bottles and mess. Kinda embarrassing.

Sorry to be a pest, but could you comment on your quarantine protocols for fish and corals? I can't resist asking given your background in I.D. If you've covered it elsewhere please let me know. (I have read your Reefkeeping 101 articles-great overview)

Thanks
Neil C

Paul,

How is the tank doing? Any updates? I've been away from RC for awhile so my apologies if I've missed something or a new thread.

Regards,

Ill take some pictures over the next week or so and do an update.

Regards,

Paul.

Thanks Wes.

The main difference, apart from growth, is the swapping of the TEK hoods for individual retrofit T5s and 4x 250W MH down the middle.

WOW!! Last time I saw it was well over a year ago when I was there with Berto. Things have really changed. Looks like it's about time for another run for TOTM.

Wow just found a link to this thread from the large tank forum. This is a true piece of work. Totally amazing. Went through it from start to here. One question though. In all your other pics the tank is loaded with fish but in this latest post I see almost no fish. Are they hiding? Timing of the picture?

Hey Paul, I really appreciate the threads you have on here. I am new to RC and can't believe how much I have learned already. Your tank is truly beautiful and I appreciate the effort you have put into it. Finally in a place in my life that I can afford to build a large reef and hoping to put some of your ideas into it. Thanks,

Kris.

Yes, it was taken after a big conference we had in town. The lights had been out for about 2 hrs and the fish had all found a hole to hide in.

We just put the lights on for the picture.

In actuality, thre are about 50 fish in there.
