Wayne this is the longest thread that I've had seen without water or a tank 89 pages to be exact jeje! I'm happy for you I know what's to wait this long!!!
Any main argument why did you went with acrylic instead of glass going DIY route?

Thanks h. And yes it's been a long ride.

Budget for acrylic. If I did glass you probably would've double page count or thread posts.

Will someone verify my numbers please. With the thickness of my acrylic my 478 gallon tank is actually now approximately 435 gallons(96x46.5x22.5) / 231. That correct?

Is 96 x 46.5 x 22.5 the actual OUTSIDE measurements, or are you subtracting for 1" thickness?

You should get the INSIDE #s to figure actual gallons, which based on your #s above, would seem to be ~94x44.5x~20(?) = ~360g

The actual outside is 96"x48"x24. 1 1/4" acrylic around 1/2" for the bottom.

The actual outside is 96"x48"x24.

If that's the measurements, then it would be called 480g (478)

According to your pics the acrylic is 1.18" thick, not 1.25...
You need actual inside #s, and measure from inside bottom to lip of overflow to get actual volume
