600 Gallon Upgrade Build

I may have missed this some where in the many pages of the thread. However, have you thought about tinting the windows in that room? It seems to get a lot of light, and I would be concerned about coral looses color and algae blooms. Just a thought, I will be tinting some window during my build.

I am having new blinds placed in the window to prevent such incidents

The process is looking great so far! Cannot wait to see the finished product. This sounds weird but I am near Inland Aquatics in Indiana and noticed that you posted on their status on Facebook. How are you familiar with them? They're my main LFS for the most part, although still an hour and a half away. Reason I ask is I'll soon be upgrading my aquarium and will happen to be in Florida in about three weeks and was wondering if you had any suggestions of LFS there with quality shipping?

Thanks. I have been following them for a while but only through build threads where people have been using their products. Depends on where you will be in Florida. There are a few places in my area. If you are in Orlando the only place I know is WWC (World Wide Coral). They are the premier place to shop and their customer service is unparalleled. Nothing but good things from them. They even knew who I was when I entered their establishment. Only because of my build.

Sorry I cant help you more but I don't know anything south of me. But I will when I go to MACNA.

Speaking of Orlando shops, I went to a place near UCF this weekend called Living Reefs! WOW!!!!!!! I very we'll my have a new favorite store. I believe they are are in par with World Wide Corals, in appearance at least. They owners were extremely nice and helpful, even offered us drinks. Who does that anymore. I was impressed. Sorry I had to share.

Oh awesome, and yes I've been to WWC almost every time I visit Orlando and their products are outstanding. I'll be in the Panama City area, but can drive a few hours out of the way if necessary :lmao:

Thanks for your help and good luck with your build in the near future, I'll be following along. RC has sucked me in :fish2:

It was my honor to assist you. Wished I could help you more.

I've been reading your thread for the past week and I have to commend you on your patience. Nearly 2 years and you're still working away. This is an epic built and can't wait to see it up and running. Great Job and thank you for your service. Salute

Looking good Wayne. That stand is a BEAST.
I know you guys must be feeling anxious at this point to get this thing up and running!

I never heard of them. I will have to check them out next time I'm in their area.

Got water in this thing yet??!
Joking. I was just checking in on the build buddy
Corey

Sorry to disappoint you. Do to some rookie improper planning, that wont happen for a couple months. I am serioulsly having some electrical problems for this build. But its primarily due to inexperience in my part.

Thanks briz. To be honest for me doing a build this big, the only reason for the patience and ups and downs is because of inexperience. I have had help along the way with other reefers from this forum and close friends and I believe I am going in the right direction. Like Steve (SPotter) says, "Slow and steady". I just want everything in line and ready for the moment water comes in the tank. As for my service, I wasn't doing anything more important than you. Hoooooaaahhhhhhh

Any progress is good progress, the inevitable is bound to happen. Don't worry I'll start my build thread here soon and you can come and help correct all the problems I haven't though of just yet.

Sir/Ma'am, it is an honor for you to make a comment on my post. I have seen your Youtube videos and in part based my build in some way off of it with your organization. I am hoping in the next 2 -3 months to start cycling everything. Again it is truley an honor to have you recognize my build.

Slow n steady is the key! That's exactly why I can't decide on which route to go with a new tank
 :D
Corey

Where there is a beginning, there is an end. I am sure you will get there. Just hang in there. That's why we are here to help each other in that type of situation.
