Yeah I know I'm still looking at my current set up w the 220 gallon tank. Not sure how much bigger I want but I know I want a better footprint

I was the same way with my 225. The only thing I hate is I live in a HOA and where I am placing the tank I can put a shed there and have all of my equipment outside. That is the only thing I hate about Florida, HOA's and no basements. Well that's the top two.:lol::lol:

This is the first time I have set up a QT/grow out tank for corals. Other than the normal equipment, should I put rock or sand inside of the tank?

Sorry...Got distracted Wayne! I'd not put sand/rock in them. If you get something in the tank you want to be able to easily drain, bleach, and be ready for the next round. As long as you don't have a large bioload in at one time, I'd just not go with rock either, I just use plumbing fittings so they have a refuge. Again, makes for easier cleaning after a round of fish, just take out all the plumbing pipe/fittings and clean/soak.

Since you don't have a lot of bacteria in the QT, I like to test for ammonia as well as use a badge: http://premiumaquatics.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PA&Product_Code=SEA-010&Category_Code=

Water changes keep it easily in check but the larger the tank the easier...I'd really like to come across a bigger tank for QT (125) later down the road and ditch the 75.

Finished painting the stand with 3 coats of Kilz Premium.

And the prefinished stand. Later it will be skinned like the display tank.
