While the peninsula looks nice, can you get into that room without issue? It looks like the sliding patio door would be right in the same area as the tank and what looks like maybe 2 feet of space. If you bring stuff in through that door it might be very problematic, and for safety purposes (path of egress) it might not be the best thing to do, unless the other side of the door also slides open and I'm just looking at it wrong.
Considering the size of the room with the size of this tank, your original idea might be better, just push the tank more toward one wall or another so you can actually get by it or behind it.
Corey had a good idea?!!!!!!:idea::idea::idea:
No I think this will let you have easiest access to the tank. You can clean the back panel from both sides of the long panels.
Looks good buddy

hey Leroy, awesome build can't wait to see it complete, +1 on location now great access, nicer look think you'll like it in the long run. would hate to go through all that work to find out you have limited access. question where are you ordering your foam surround from?

If it works as far as egress etc.. I really like the peninsula style!
The closed loop will have two 2" drains going into a Reeflo Dart pump and returning with six 1" returns.
+1 on the new location!!! I think you will be really happy with the peninsula Wayne.
Thanks Steve. I havent seen to many of those style of tanks. Mostly they were used as room dividers. I never seen one stand alone like how I have it now. Loving your progress with your build also. That rock really......ROCKS.
Thanks! I am really happy with the decision to change out the rocks. With moving the tank maybe you will have a little room for a recliner so you can relax and stare endlessly at the tank!
No problem for the ideas, that's what we are all here for, to help each other and what not!

I have had to of missed it. What is the bottom of the sump area covered with?
Or just see if you can flip the door panels. Not as if you are going to lock it.
It is a shower liner to prevent leaks getting on the floor.
Very true.I think removing the doors will be alot better for me. Easy access in and out especially with packages.
