600 Gallon Upgrade Build

I have been reading lots of thread with prodominantly SPS tanks being successful going bare bottom so I am seriously thinking about going that route. If all fails I can always add sand.

At e you going to put starboard down first? I've always heard that acrylic tanks should get that first, not sure why. So any help on that would be nice

I think a lot of people do starboard on glass and acrylic when going bare bottom because they have found that corals will actually grow on starboard and not on glass or acrylic. If you have have noticed that when you have a piece of sps fall and sit on the bottom for a little while, the part that touches the surface usually dies. I could be totally wrong but remember reading that somewhere...I think in David's thread.

Steve you are correct. It was Davids thread. I have to see how his tank is doing and his quilting.

Wow nice fish Wayne! I also liked the peninsula style but i think you can still get away with moving your tank forward some and still having access to the rear wall of the tank. I think with it peninsula style that it will be too much tank for the room. Either way, keep moving forward dude!

It was worse when i had it in the center of the room.

New idea and I like this one thanks to biecacka. I have access from both sides and space.

What do you think?

Although it's obvious to say the tank doesnt fit in this room, I love that the tank is the boss of this space...like it's saying 'don't nobody eat, sleep, watch tv in this room...if you're here then you're looking at me, dammit. Now feast your eyeballs on these clamshells."

Seriously, I heard it...
