600 Gallon Upgrade Build

:idea::idea:Now that I think about it, I actually can get the plumbing done but it will be in reverse. Meaning I can at least get the plumbing done from the sump up to where it will meet and 90 up to where the drains from the tank will come down. Pics to follow. I guess Dan was right.:idea::idea:

You guess I was right?

Pictures look good! I like the placement of the tank. Are you going to run a fresh air intake from outside to your skimmer?

There we go.. Piping!!!

Now those pipes are cut... What connector will you have there?

The windows are dirty and the grass needs mowing.

There is a spider on the fence next door.

Ok Dan, you were right.

As for placing an airline outside, I don't know. Reason I am saying this is because they spray the yard I'm in back of a house where the guy sprays for bugs. My fear is that stuff would get into my tank and kill everything. A friend actually suggested a CO2 scrubber. What's your thought on my issue?

The connector going to the tank will be gate or check valves. That's why I used the flex tubing to give me some play.

The HOA is responsible for my grass and I'm sure they've heard about it already. I'll clean the windows when I tint them. And that's a big spider next door and I don't do spiders.

Maybe it would be better to have a exhaust fan running.

Liek a bathroom fan or something.

That would create a low pressure leak and the air would be taken up by doors windows around the house, instead of one source for fresh air.

I assume you have fans/central air running too?

The AC is above and in front of the tank and the ceiling fan is almost above the tank.

Where would I place an exhaust fan with the skimmer under the tank?

Well you have enough air flow then... Even if you cracked that window every now and then, it would be good.

OR... you could run the line from the skimmer AIR... to a split. When you know the JUNK is in the air make it inside only... When it is good, make it go to the outside... Just simple air tubing will work, right out that window.

Personally, if you can, I would run the air intake for the venturi outside. If you are concerned about bugs and spraying, perhaps you can run a piece of pvc 7' above the ground. Just my two cents...

That does make better sense. Only they arent on schedule with their spray. I am not gonna take the chance and assume.

Great idea Dan. But I know this is an anal question but even if they spray with the tube that high up wont the spray rise also or when it is sprayed down it stays down?

You mean like place a reactor outside with the carbon?

I placed mine on line inside of house. but yes outside air went Thur carbon before skimmer. I don't use it for that anymore. It didn't help much. With house closed up my
ph hits 8.2. I use line to vent skimmer collection cup outside now.

Stinky huh??

With your house there should be enough air exchange. It is not like you are a home body and stay inside for days at a time.

I agree I wouldn't mess with running an air line to skimmer again. I just didn't do much for PH. Keep water quality Mag, cal, and alk right PH will do ok
