So about this closed loop... How are you going to run the plumbing for that?

No closed loop. :uzi::uzi::uzi: that thought a long time ago. Multiple powerheads should get the job done for what I need.

It's like I had posted earlier in time the bulkheads could crack even if you took the right procedures for prevention. But that can happen to a tank also.

Ahhh... True and the bottom glass can break if you drop Live Rock on it.

A sand layer as a buffer or even egg crate on the sand then more sand to hide it works.

That stand looks like a beast. Taking it slow has a lot of advantages. There are things on my build I would change if I had a couple extra months Keep up the good work!

True. But I might try going bare bottom this time. Code word is try. I have been reading allot about SPS dominant tanks going bare bottom and having great success. I just have to find the wrasses that don't bury themselves in the sand for me to be successful.

Thanks H. Slow and some obstacle will do that to you but I have no regrets. It has given me time to rethink some things and make the necessary adjustments and improvements to try and make things better.

Well now that the cat is out of the bag. Yes I am having a new tank made. To me it didn't make any sense to have all new equipment and (as I found out) an 8 year old tank on top. Which is actually perfect timing because my significant other changed jobs and was on vacation for 3 weeks so I sold the tank and helped pay her bills and had the extra money to have a new tank.

Makes sense right?
