It has two switches once the top switch and bottom both fall it starts to work and then turns off only when he water reaches the top switch so it makes all the water at once. Some people use timers but those scare me because you never now how water pressure can affect the rodi's production rate.

Just watch your TDS meter when your filtration first fires up. You'll see a large TDS going into the DI but a few minutes later plumits right back down to normal (3-6 TDS in mine) after the membrane. I'm not an expert on RO/DIs but that's what I heard a few times and started paying more attention and typically don't make batches of water unless I'm making 50+ gallons at a time. You can run in small amounts, just expect to buy more DI.

I know they slow start first and build up to full power which is a nice feature.

Considering how the tank is placed I would have to run that line through my attic and I'm afraid of the attic literally. I have a hose coming off my fresh water tank so I have no problems filling the top off tank. I will be going to the site you referenced to get their water top off kit. Thank you for your idea.

The code word is RATS. Roaches I can deal with. I rather get attacked by a white tip before I go in the attic. I will leave that to the professionals.

I am going to remove the large sump and place everything back inside the stand. I will get a tank or custom make a tank for the refugium. I will have to build everything around the sump I have.

I took measurements and ordered a 55 gallon for the refugium and a 30H gallon tank for the auto top off. I will top the refugium with the Marineland double bright LEDs. Equipment wont be in until Thursday or Friday. Pics will follow.

Those things freak me out! How can you live in the house with them up there? I can picture them crawling around on their little toes, pidder-padder-pidder-padder.... Next thing you know, they can be chewing all your wires, chewing holes in the walls. You can wake up one morning and find them in your Captain Crunch cereal or in your favorite pair of boots. Or worse, chewing one of your return lines and causing a major flood!

To my dismay they are very popular down here like black racers. I dont have them living up there but I cant like I have trapped about 4 of them last summer. Just hearing them inside the walls and... OK back to the build. :eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2:I have an exterminator come by every three months and I have been rat free.
