600 Gallon Upgrade Build

Are you serious or sarcastic since this room is dedicated for the tank? Just curious and no intentions of being upset. Does everyone else feel the same way?

Army,

The room is made for the Tank. I thought you bought the house because you knew it would fit the tank that you were going to design for it.

You are going to be able to sit or lie in that room for hours on end enjoying your masterpiece.

Before I built my tank, the only time I would sit in my living room, with its expensive furniture, was when I wanted to have a serious conversation with my wife or if we were entertaining someone for the first time.

Awesome room. Awesome tank. Enough said. HOOAH!

I don't think the tank is too big for the room. If it was in your living room or home theater etc.. and it took up that much percentage of square footage then yes but you have this room as a dedicated fish room so NO. No one walks into a movie theater and says the screens too big right. FWIW my tank is a tad too big for the room it's in. It's one foot too long and it blocks a window and radiator. Good thing my wife doesn't ever go on RC because I deny it all the time when she says it looks a little overwhelming for the room!

Are YOU serious asking that?? Lol
I can assure you it's all love coming from this end. I have nothing but praise for what you've accomplished thus far. I've come across some of your posts around here and you impress me as a cool dude with positive things to offer. You're not being slammed. So just accept the fact that you have a setup worthy of my envy because you can dedicate a room for a tank and not split duty as a tv room or dining room or holed in a basement like mine...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Now read my post again, sir, and feel the love (I was going for levity too but obviously that fell flat...lol).

Good luck with the anthias. I have 2 of the same ones and I have been very successful with them. They eat anything I feed them and eat well.

Well I am feeding 4-5 times a day in the QT. Unfortunately I lost a female and a red spot cardinal in the powerhead over night.

When I bought the house I was recovering from TIA and a pulmonary ambolizm a year prior so a fish tank was no where in the house buying search. It was reefing that saved me so having a tank of this magnitude is not only a great accomplishment, but me also succeeding with my health.

Thanks again for the words of encouragement.

Thanks Adam. Your progress is awesomely beautiful.

Sorry dude. Meds were kicking in and my feminine side surprisingly came out. I know there is allot of love from you and fellow contributors to my build. I will read the post again to confirm the love. Your levity didn't fall flat either. :wavehand::wavehand::wavehand:

Leroy, why's your tank still dry? You'd think you are procrastinating or something....:D

Because there is a bet going on to see whose tank is going to be dry the longest and I plan on winning that bet.

There are a couple things that I still need to do. 1, replace the window and AC the tank is in front. 2, I am still working the electrical out for the room and I refuse to go into my attic. 3, Family issues. Other than that everything is still on pace on this build.

Leroy lol .....Nice fish selection you will love the purple movement to the tank they will add....

Yea you can thank Dan for that one. I think the Red Spots arent made for large tanks. 2 more were found dead in the Powerhead so Imma place them in the 2 gallon pico. I cant wait for the purple movement to happen.

Understood, just finished my 3rd closed loop and grabbed some lunch, now time to beat you to the water bet~! :lol2:

Since my build is basically on a budget, most of my updates are usually at the beginning of the month. Well the build is on pause now. Between moving my stand or making saltwater I have acquired major knee injury.

Waiting on an MRI from the VA hospital to see how severe it is. The VA and my build have a lot in common. Very slow.

Sorry ladies and gents.
