I will let it run about 3 months to fully cycle. And hopefully build up the denitrification bacteria to have as low of nitrates I can. Maybe do a massive water change after the cycle to lower the nitrates.
 
Understandable buddy. We been pushing back acrylic order for my tank too. So many other things going on but I hope to get it rolling soon....

I think I will wait and see what happens because lately in the past two months everytime i get ready to make a big purchase, something happens or I damage myself even further. That's why I'm knocking out the little inexpensive projects first.

Knowing my luck when I don't think about things, that is when everything starts to happen.
 
I understand that. We been delaying mine mostly due to work but it is allowing me to get other stuff ready.
I think my skimmer will be built next week which is a great start! I'm stoked!

He lives 30 minutes from me so I been going out to see him lately and decided his skimmer will work great for me. He builds top notch equipment so I'm not missing anything.

Check out nooks in a thread in this forum.
Skimmers for big tanks or something like that. It's right below your thread his skimmer is HUGE and bad.....

I just put order in for the last of a few things I needed and thought I'd let you know that the new Sea Swirls are on about a 3 week backorder from SeaSwirl. Might go ahead and order if you're not wanting to wait!

That's not so bad. If I was in a rush then it would be bad. I'm not in a hurry so its cool.

I will have to check that out. But also remember It is going under my stand so space is limited.
