Well its been over 24 hours and I have to say I am leak free. :dance::dance::dance: Other than that i will be adding a new fish to my QT. Still deciding on what lighting I want to use but I am getting closer to a decision.

Tell us what lights your considering? I haven't seen too many full blown zeo tanks tanks with LEDs, everyone prefers t5's on those tanks.

Thinking about using the cannons for day lights and the hydras for accent. I'm waiting on ecoexotic to see if the cannon pendant lights are to strong for my tank style.

Wayne, I missed a lot in the last week! Glad you got the leak fixed.

I love my hydra. I really like the violet and uv over the extra blues in my Vegas. I will eventually change out my vega pucks to have the UV.

My battle buddy is to pretty to assist. I use the door to the room now.

why use both? if you like the hydras why not just make them your sole choice?

Just trying something different. I could save money and go all hydra or like I originally planned with the Cannon flood lights with T5 supplementation.

My NEW LFS... one I visit at least once a week... had two of those... While the color was perfect and all the other ideas..

NON-Adjustable and Non-adjustable...

In regards to color and intensity.


They hated it and switched back to radion pro's.

What do you mean non adjustable. You mean like the Kessils? They come with a dimmable ballast.

Not a slow work up and slow dusk.

I believe that is true. They are only 10K LEDs but it shouldn't matter if they have a dimmable ballast.

Yeah I just figured you would want some sort of nice gentle glow early in the cycle... and then work up to brightness.

I mean we could set 3 or 4 MH above your bead so in the morning you just get a blast of light and forced out of bed too.

on and off worked succesfully for many years in the hobby before the gadgets came along. If you were to go with the cannons, you wouldnt have to turn them all on at the same time. You could stagger their on/off times by 15-30mins each.

at that price.. id expect some of the fancy controls offered by ecotech and ai

auto dimming, sun rise, sun set, moonlights is most certainly not needed by no means, but then again it does give it an edge for being innovative and makes the overall use of the lights more enjoyable.

since your spending the money anyways why not!

Yea and overdrive the ballast for a nice crisp daylight.
