600 Gallon Upgrade Build

Thanks a lot for the explanation!
There are many really good and interesting points in there.
Since December 2014 Kessils are available here in Germany, I really like their design.
I need some additional lighting to light up the full length of my tank. I hope they work out well for you :) if they do, I'll get a couple of them, too!

Best wishes!
Thanks mathias. As I said if I have to add additional lighting from every forum dealing with lighting the majority added T5s in coral+ and blue+.

If I didn't have a canopy I definitely would have gotten these over my 360 - I have a 150 over a biocube and it looks amazing.

Holy cow you did go bonkers on the sticks. Do you mind messaging me which LFS?
I will do that for you.
Welcome to the Kessil Club!! I think you will really love those lights! I'm obviously a big fan myself. You have to love the natural shimmer! The video looks great too! My only concern would be the 70% intensity, especially with the N's vs the WE's. That may be too much to start with. Did you take any before and after PAR readings? When I switched from my Reeftech's to the Kessils, I used my par meter to match the par and then started the Kessil's off a bit lower for acclimation.
The settings are set that high because of the height off the water. I have them on acclimation at 40 percent for 14 days. I will do another 14 day setting with a higher setting. I will watch the corals closely. As for a par meter I will try to have one this weekend if the guy shows up to the meeting.
I feel like i was diving on a real reef watching the video, closest color matching i have seen.
Well you almost dived in while wiping my tank down. In the back of my mind I was thinking I hope he falls in. But I did appreciate it.

I've seen some canopies fitted with the Kessils. Just a hole and hanging bar which they customers made or bought.

Yeah I could chop up the canopy, but that would kind of ruin the point. Plus it's only a 12" canopy, so I'd probably need 8 to get the spread I would need to cover the footprint. I'm happy with my Hydra 52s, I have 5 of those and they cover the tank nicely.

I feel you on that one. You would need the extra height for the coverage. For my narrows qt 18 inches AWL I was impressed with the spread.

I finally placed the corals in their spot. Hopefully I don't have to make to many changes. Plus I added, well you will see his grand entrance.

Wow looking awesome. Nice Achilles, he seems really easy going.

Yes he is so far. My Dejardini try to test him but he wasn't having it. Now my Dejardini is the calmest I have seen him in a long while.

Looking great!, Achilles is stunning

Thanks. I was going to see if you would sneak away again and help me place the acros. But I said I better do this myself and learn.

Tank looks really nice Wayne and that Achilles is aweeeesome:inlove::inlove:

Thanks Glaukos.

Those clowns need a host anemone. I would put it right on top of the flower pot.

Dave.M

I am going to change out the pot. Still dont know what anemone to get. Would love a ritteri.

Glad you moved along and got those placed.

Wayne... Get a ritteri. Just go out and order it and do it.

Yeah that is what SHE said too... that is why she has you... So look as hard as she did and get one. Now do not make it 6 years... you can do it.
