6025 only spins backward?

No matter how many times i restart, my 6025 refuses to work.

It just spins and clacks and clacks and clacks.

I took the impeller out to see what the deal was and the shft came with it. Is this shaft supposed to stay glued into the motor?

I know Roger's out of town, i hope I don't have to send this back as well.

Two pieces of tunze equiptment in 2 weeks. :\

yeah maeda. +1 i got new face plates and clips from roger. but the 6025 i got. is now... starting to get reallly funny.... the shaft is just super loose now and doesnt spin properly. ( not as fast nor as quiet as before.....) =/

only reason im getting another one of these for my tanks is cus of rogers excellent customer service. hopefully ill get a fix to this when he gets back =)

The shaft is press fitted in. Early pumps had too loose a hole for the shaft and the shaft was made in China. New replacements have a much tighter fit and the shaft is made in Germany. You can spot the German shaft pumps because the shaft is tapered at the end. PM me an address and we will get you a new motor.
