6060 placement, take two

I just purchased a lightly used 6060 for a 55g mixed reef I will be building in the Spring. Got a good price on it, but now I'm wondering if I bought too much powerhead. My initial thought was high on the left side to provide maximum coverage on the rocks. Good idea or should I try to point it at the glass to defray the onslaught?

I've heard nothing but good things about your products and I want to keep a moderate to high flow in the tank.

Also, I will only have a 2" sandbed. Unsure about size, so ideas there would be helpful as well.

The Streams are very hard to use in a 55, the tank is just so narrow that their is no where for the flow to go and the result is a bit excessive. I think you will just have to try it out.

I am trying to avoid a ton of powerheads and the ever controversial Rio products. I wondered if it wouldn't be too much, but everyone so highly praises Tunze. The amount matches my 30x flow, so I thought maybe. I'll check it out when it gets here and see where I have to go.
